Awful quality, no warranty- DO NOT BUY
I own 6 Freedom Feeders- all have holes in them making them basically pointless (I have sewn them back together dozens of times) - I tried contacting customer service a year ago since these claim to have a lifetime warranty ... and they blamed me and told me I should sew them back together again myself. No offer of replacement or even repair after I had spent $400 on their faulty products. My animals have been on slow feeders for several years- I know how to use them and so do my animals- they should not be getting holes in after one week of use unless the product is bad. DO NOT BUY- save yourself the stress and dissatisfaction.

Worth the Price
After spending countless dollars on cheaper nylon hay nets over the years, only to have to replace them a couple of months later, I figured there had to be a better solution. Looking on line, Freedom Feeder Hay Nets came up as a recommendation often. Although the price was more expressive, it seemed worth the test. Well, I am a convert. Our aggressive feeding horses have met their match! I use the small grazing nets in their pasture & the full size nets in their stalls. No more wasting my money on nets that pull apart in a matter of weeks.

It won't last!
Unfortunately this product did not last even a week. I only used it a few days and my horse chewed a hole big enough for a basketball to fall through. I used the feeder exactly as the instructions suggested, so that was a big expensive disappointment. I was really hoping this would work well as a solution but the netting just wasn't sturdy enough to withstand the horse chewing at it.

Helping my horse who has ulcers!
I needed to get/keep grass hay in front of my 9-year-old mare who was recently diagnosed with ulcers. This product, with the very small 1" grids, is great as a secondary feed bag. I fill two bags -- one with a larger mesh and this bag -- twice daily and that seems to keep feed in front of her appropriately.Initially, I was relying on this bag only; she got too hungry, trying to work the hay through the tiny mesh, and made a hole in the bottom of the bag. (I used the carabiner that came with it to "seal" the hole.) Adjusting, putting the second bag in with her, provided the right amount of hay to her at the appropriate rate.I'd say -- were it not for the hole she created in the bottom of the bag -- this product has been just about perfect for our needs.

Pay attention to the hole sizes on these
I'm hooked on Freedom Feeder nets as it slows down my easy keeper and keeps her more satisfied and entertained with her hay longer. This most recent net purchased has larger holes than previous nets so it's not as "slow." However this size is super nice and easy to load which means less hay in my bra!
