Effective and Simple Solution for Reducing Injection Discomfort
I was a bit skeptical at first, but the Bionix ShotBlocker really does help ease the discomfort of injections. It’s small, lightweight, and easy to use—just press it against the skin before the shot, and the little prongs help distract from the needle sensation. It doesn’t completely eliminate pain, but it definitely makes the experience more tolerable, especially for kids or those who are nervous about shots. The material is sturdy yet flexible, and it can be reused multiple times, making it a great value. If you or your child struggle with the fear of injections, this is a simple but effective tool to make the process a little easier!

Mine did not arrived but a friend gave me one to test
A friend gave me one to test, and let me tell you—HUGE DIFFERENCE! My 2-year-old son always cries and screams during his shots, which breaks my heart. So I gave this a try for his last shot, and he DID NOT CRY! Not even a little. I was in shock. I gave it 5 stars because the product is amazing, even though my order never arrived. Thankfully, they refunded me without any issues. I’m currently traveling, but when I get back, I’ll definitely buy it again. Hopefully, it arrives this time because I’ll be using it for all his shots. This mama is so happy!

Kids love these.
They definitely seem to work when we "tested" them at home with the controlled experiment my kids designed with a swift jab from the kids' toy doctor kit plastic syringe once with and once without the shot blocker. I nixed their next hypothesis that it would also help if they tried to jab me with a mechanical pencil, for science. So I stayed content knowing that the sensation of a plastic toy needle is different with the blocker than when it's not pressed on your skin.My kids have since used them for their flu shots and the first dose of their covid vaccines they still cried for the flu shot, but I didn't have to hold them still, and then they immediately agreed that it did actually help. They really liked that that were doing something to mitigate the pain instead of just being held down against their will. For the covid shots 4 weeks later, they were excited to bring them again and even took the responsibility of making sure they were packed in my persevere. Mine were the only 2 kids out of 7 at the clinic that didn't cry, BUT they did balk and go rigid & try to get away from the chair for a moment when the pharmacist first said his boss doesn't like him to use them because they can make blood shoot across the room when the needle is injected (? Plausible, I guess?), but when I pulled out just a little momma bear and assured him that our pediatrician OK'd them and that they'd successfully used them for shots at the pediatrician's without any spurting of blood he relented and let me hold them on the kids' arms. They took the shots like champs and didn't whimper, tear up, or anything. Even reported the next morning that peeling off the bandaids from their arms hurt more than actually getting the shot.TL;DR: they do have some effect on the sensations around the shot blocker, but it's unclear whether the actual pain reduction or the feeling of some control over the situation is what makes my kids like them. Either way, 10/10 recommend for kids who are strong willed and shot-averse.

I’m 31 and got my first shot without crying my eyes out
First off, I can’t definitively give *all* the credit to the shot blocker - when I had to get my covid vaccine booster, I was prescribed my (usual) single Xanax, was already on a muscle relaxer for a recent injury, AND slathered my arm with lidocaine numbing cream. What I can say is that I’ve done all of that before (muscle relaxer aside), and it made no difference. By the time the evil needle came out, I was cursing and crying. My normal needle experience:-Panic-Fight myself to relax-Cry my eyes out when I feel the needle push allllllll the way through my skin and muscle, then the UTTERLY FOUL sensation of whatever fluid is being injected. I usually feel it for a few minutes afterwards - while continuing to sob, of course.BUT THIS TIME!!I had the doc use it on my partner first (we both got our boosters). The doc was open to it, but realized it would be easier if someone else held the shot blocker while he actually gave me the shot.So my partner held it firmly on my arm (possibly to keep me from running) and I got as far as saying “I really don’t want to do thi-“and it was OVER. Done.I didn’t feel any of the sensations that make shots unbearable. It was what doctors and nurses always promise - just a pinch. I was shocked! And relieved. It made a world of difference for me!I recommend this to anyone who struggles with needles, has sensory issues, or knows someone who does.

Cool concept
Didn't work with my 4 month old. Will continue to try them as she gets older.

Mama's buy this now !
I'll admit when I saw this I was a skeptic, while hopeful I didn't really think it would do much. My 4 month old has his vaccines today and we used the shot blocker for both and he cried for one second then was calm ad can be also helped that he was eating during them too. The shot blocker definitely did it's job tho and we will always using it
