The activities help him memorize his sight words. Review: Great Tool for Hesitant Readers - I love this book for teaching/reviewing sight words with my very hesitant second grade reader. He actually likes these sheets and doesn't exasperatedly sigh 'oh, man' when he sees me pull them out the way he used to with his Reading in 20 Easy Lessons book. They are fairly simple and bolster his confidence as they reinforce the material that he really tried to avoid learning last year.

Very nice system for sight words
I loved the 10-week packet of sight words. They kept my grandson busy, and we had so much fun learning new words and how to recognize them.

Good worksheets just wish there was more variety
I find the worksheets useful, but they are the same each week just with different words. I wish there were more variety in the worksheet format from week to week

Love this!!!!
My son loves this book. It helps keep his mind fresh of sight words, he is in kinder but doing middle of 1st grade work, so this was perfect for him to do on his own in the mornings as an entry task to other school work during this coronavirus stuff.

sight-word packet purchase
I love this product because it gives 7 activities (the same every week) and a child check off box so they can see their progress. I don't have to reinvent weekly lessons. It is the redundancy that teaches the child so they have it memorized by the end of the week.

I am a teacher and I am home schooling my 5 year old. I have found these help me to structure our tricky word learning. I use them to fuel more practical activities as the ones suggested can be used in many practical ways. Love this book! My son's reading has really come on.

This book is good for review after all the words have been learned. I wanted to use this book in companion to another scholastic book to teach sight words but i didn't find it useful.

For "precision" teaching (that is newspeak for rote learning) of the first 100 sight words this is excellent. It reinforces the learning by re-visiting the words in a variety of ways and at the back of the book there are the 100 words that can be laminated and cut up into cards. Every week I photocopy last weeks activities and words for the children to take home so they can do the activities again as homework.
