A Must for Adult Adoptees & their Adoptive Parents
We give a free copy of this book to every adult adoptee who contacts our adoption agency to do a search or for any post-adoption care. This is a resource unlike any other available for adoptees and I especially like that you can pick various chapters that resonate and don't have to read it front to back to gain valuable insight.

5 STAR Ratings from a birth mom
I appreciate your transparency, time, and effort in writing this book. As a birth mother, this book also ministered to me in such a way that I could never explain who I was & what to expect from an adoptee before & after a reunion. I cried, cheered, and felt hopeful that the actions of my authentic love is seen as healing virtue to my child.

Must Read For Any Adoptee
I couldn’t put it down and I highlighted so many paragraphs. Sherrie's book has helped me come to terms with a lot of things and has given me a whole new perspective on life. A must for any adoptee.

Great Book For Adoptees
I loved the book. I am an adoptee, and have recently started to work on the issues of being an adoptee, and reading the book has helped. Dealing with adoptee issues is not easy , so it’s nice to see that other adoptees went through.

Not worth your money...DO NOT buy if you are a birthmmother...It will break your hearth
Okay book, but still not what I was looking for...out of 7 books that I bought on adoption, only 2 addressed the needs, desires, wonds, and fears of the birth mother....this was NOT ONE OF THEM...only one session on birth mothers and it was very negative. These researches need to go back to school and learn about humanity..

Interesting read- pertains more to older closed style adoptions
I read this and my 24 year old adopted son read this book ( newborn adoption- semi open). It is an interesting read, but in our views, is reflective of problems of older style closed adoptions where there was much secrecy re birth story and history. My son, a Christian, also said it ignored the role of Providence in adoption, which he believes was evident in his own adoption, and it views the act of adoption as almost an evil act, rather than a loving solution to a crisis pregnancy. It has a perspective of a victim mentality to it, which both of us feel is an unhealthy view. However, in older style closed adoptions we can see how adoption might be perceived this way. We are glad that the author was able to work through most of her issues which she shares openly in this book.
