Really sharp, modern update to our home's entry.
Surprisingly easy to install despite somewhat cryptic and spare instructions. Nothing cheap about this lock set. Very sturdy and secure. Priced a bit higher than more traditional alternatives but stylish design is worth it. Highly recommended if you're looking to upgrade look of your home's entry.

Stunning handle set with best-in-class customer service
We recently ordered a new front door and wanted a door handle and dead-bolt to go with the purchase and turned to Berlin Modisch for the order. The door handle is gorgeous with a good heft to the design, definitely a quality product!We ran into one problem with the handle where the latch would stick when entering from the exterior, however they sent out a replacement with no questions asked and this solved our problem! We couldn't be happier with our choice with this product and their customer service is absolutely outstanding.

Outside handle does NOT open the door
Several people have wrote about this already but this lock does not function properly. The outside handle does not open the door and the inside handle swings the wrong way. Yes I followed the directions that came with it and even reversed the lock to try to get it to work. I've installed many locks of many types over the years and this is the first one that did not work. It looks good, but if it does work, its of no use to me.

Classy Quality at an Affordable Price
Very elegant and quality handle set. Was super easy and quick to install, the included template made drilling holes into the door very easy without having to make mistakes. Really classed up our front door.

Frustration and Correct Operation
I'm one of those that do not often write reviews but this one I must because of both my recent experience (and frustration doing so) and other reviews; in doing so I hope to eliminate other's frustrations.1st I was worried when I read some reviews after I purchased the lockset and then doubly so when I myself attempted to install said lockset. Now, I've installed many locksets so am not new to the game but this I would say was a game.Here is the spoiler: when installing the handle latch backset (the part that fits into the whole and turns the latch bolt) MAKE SURE THAT THE PLASTIC SQUARE HAS ITS SIDES FLAT TO THE FLOOR AND CEILING AND DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A DIAMOND WITH THE CORNERS TO THE FLOOR AND CEILING).I can not say what exactly was the issue but I encountered every issue other reviewer's noted from the door latch not retracting, partially retracting and actually operating in reverse - and removed it many, many times. I can only say when I "made the square as above" and made sure the latch turned properly before inserting into the door hole (as this is adjustable and like most does not "lock" into positions and just slides) that the door latch started working perfectly (fingers crossed).
