EARSON ER-163 Clover 4.0 Water-Resistant Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker

This was worth the money. It gets very loud, it is indeed waterproof... Battery last long enough for sure. I think some have said this is not shockproof, but I've dropped it a few times and I've also traveled with it (which I've lost a few devices from shock-while-travel) and it has survived thus far.

Was a great speaker, bought it near beginning of the summer and it's worked great. Last night it simply fell off my bed and completely stopped working, won't turn on or do anything. Quite disappointing.

I had mine in my hand when i was running and dropped it from about 4 ft on top of that the quality of the speaker goes way down after a week of useAlso is not water proof like it advertised

If I wanted to listen to music outside I would just use my phone, until I was at a house and she had a JBL bluetooth wireless speaker. Wow, that worked great so I took a look into purchasing one but at $100 that was a bit too much for me. So when I was offered the opportunity to receive this item at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion, I was excited to try it out!Regarding the directions sent... I don't mind purchasing items that are made in other countries, but please, please, check your translation with someone who actually speaks English! While I could make most of it out, here is one quote, "Listen pure sound with 360 degrees no dead Support mobile phone self timer and Bluetooth a key back to the joint;" What?! That being said, I know how to sync bluetooth items so it was simple to do. And regarding the directions for different functions, it took a little bit of rereading but I was able to figure out what they were saying. Once you know how to work the features, it is simple to use.Regarding the 'amazing bass' that some reviewers are stating, um... in my opinion, no. Now I'm not one of those people who listens to such deep bass that the cars around it can feel the bass as well, but to say that it has amazing bass - I want to feel it. This just doesn't cut it in regards to that. It is definitely more impressive than my LG phone, but not the quality of my friends JBL.I do appreciate that it is lightweight, and has the option to attach a hook. Also, I was able to go anywhere in my home (two-stories) and it did not loose connection.I do have a problem that it is marketed as a 'Waterproof' item. No way is this waterproof. Even the directions state to not use it if water gets in it. In the description of the Amazon post, it states 'Splash Proof', now that is probably a more accurate description. I would feel comfortable it getting splashed on your bike, or at the lake or pool, but if this falls into your hot tub, you'll be sadly disappointed. If the company were to rephrase this statement, I would bring my review up one star.One note I would make to the makers; the volume level that it turns on at is crazy loud! I wish there was some way to change the default level, or at least power on/ off at the level I have set the music at.Finally, one feature that is nice is that you can answer calls from the device. It's easy to use, just push the button at the top to answer. We tested this feature several times and the caller never had a problem with hearing me, nor I with understanding them. One problem I had was with the first unit, I could not hang up with the speaker. You are supposed to be able to long press the top button to hang up but it wouldn't work. I contacted the company and the sent out a second one. The second one had no problem and worked as it should so I was assume the first was just malfunction.All and all, I am happy with this purchase. I wish the bass was better, but it is not the $100 unit that my friend has. Currently it is selling for $30. At that price point, I think that the features it offers are solid and you'll be happy with what you get.

The Earson Er-163 Waterproof Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker is a must have for the outdoor get-togethers. This Water resistant loud speaker helps get the party started it supports mutable audio formats so you can play almost anything. I was very impressed on how loud it actually is with nice sound and noticeable bass. All functions are on the ends of the unit they are easy to get to and use. As you can see in the video as soon as I took it out of the box it paired with my iPhone 6s with no issues and it was a breeze to pair. There is a answer phone button on the side so you also get hands free calling with this Earson Er-163. It comes with a clip that you can attach to the speaker and take it with you and hang it any ware. This portable setup is great for outdoor events or just to hang out. The Earson Er-163 looks very well made and rugged they put a lot of thought when making it. You will gat about 6-8 hrs of playtime on a full charged battery. There is a 3.5mm Aux in and a memory card port so you can play your music on it even if you don’t have Bluetooth.Disclaimer: I received this product at a discount price for my honest and unbiased review.

The speakers are nice and loud. I'm happy the performance, but I'm not happy with the power on dialogue. There's a voice that says "Turn on", "Bluetooth", "Waiting for connecting", "Connected". There's no way to turn down the volume of this dialogue. It's very annoying. If I had seen that it said this every time I turn it on, I wouldn't have bought it.Other than that, it's a good speaker.

Brought the speaker on a river floating excursing and accidentally had it completely submerged in water for several minutes before I realized there was no music playing. When I pulled it out from the river it was completely unresponsive for the rest of the day. I didn't fret too terribly as I only paid $20 bucks for it, and I figured water resistant doesn't mean you can sink it in the river all afternoon. Made no effort to wick the moisture from it- but when I got home aND pulled it from my backpack, it was working again with no noticeable difference in responsiveness or sound quality.As far as sound goes, for the price, this little dude packs a punch. I usually clasp the carabiner around my waist and use it while I'm cleaning around the house. It's not the greatestime sound quality, but again, you get MUCH MORE than you pay for. One of my best finds on amazon to date.My only criticism would be the Bluetooth range. Mine is choppy at times, and I feel other reviews have had better luck than me. Also, when the the device is powering on/off or has a low battery, the speaker sends a prompt that, by default, is always set to it'd loudest setting. I was scared s***less one night when I had soft music humming in the background while I slept, only to have the device scream, "LOW BATTERY" at maximum volume. In any case, these caveats aren't enough to strip it from a five-star review.
