Vince Flynn亡き後Kyle Millsが引き継ぎ、今年Don Bentleyが引き継ぐ、長く続いているシリーズの1作目です。1999年の作品でポケベルが出てきたりもしますが、そこを除けば2024年現在の設定であったとしても全く違和感がなく、驚かされます。長編ですが読みやすく、手に汗握る展開で大変引き込まれます。

Nearly as interesting as "American Assassin", this is a fast paced book for Mitch Rapp fans.

Only recently did I hear of this author, Vince Flynn, & I'm hooked. Unfortunately he has just recently died so I'll have to make do with those books already published. I found this book to be one of those that you just don't want to put down. The hero, Mitch Rapp, is a top CIA counterterrorism agent, ruthless when necessary, heroic in action, plus a true gentleman. There is political intrigue, national security, military tactics & lots of bad guys (both ours & theirs). This was a book where you don't want to skim over sections, every page was filled with details. Am looking forward to my next Vince Flynn book!
