Fms RC Airplane Reflex V3 Mini Gyro Flight Control System for Remote Control Aircraft Plane Reflex V3 Stable Flight Controller

After taking the time to familiarize myself with the software and choosing a model close to what it is being installed in the gyro works well.

I have tried other gyros for my custom builds that didn't preform, but this does it keeps all of my planes level when I want to fly easy instead of 100% Expert mode that takes alot of work sometimes. This makes my second one and I have a third on the way. All you have to do is pick a model on the list that is close or the same as what you have or have built. I made two single motor planes and one dual motor plane , it works well on both. The wiring is simple it requires 5 channels , 4 for control surfaces and the 5th channel should be set on a three position switch on your transmitter. You have to use all 5 wires it comes with to get the full function beginner intermediate advanced. As long as you download a .rar file extractor that works with your PC brand it is easy to install different models. Alot of reviews I see it seems people didn't take time to set it up correctly either on their PC or on their model. I see alot of these were sent back but don't let that sway you these do work well.

Great product. Works perfect on my fms 800mm t-28.Only downside is the lack of good documentation. Instructions for wiring are very poor.

The most frustrating thing for me was the fact the instructions were poorly wrote. That and me being a newbie to rc planes made for a pretty bad experience. It did not work properly for me a try all , which was surprising to me because FMS has always been top shelf

This 3 axis gyro-stabilizer is a good addition to older non-stabilized receivers. I use this product with older generation 6 channel Spektrum Receivers and they work extremely well. Only problem is getting the correct firmware installation that works for your RC aircraft. It took me several attempts using the FMS Application on my Windows 8.1 PC before I got it to work correctly. Be patient and try numerous downloads from the App menu until you get one that works for you. Once you get the hang of it you'll likely want more than one of these units since the do the same thing (almost) as a much more expensive Spektrum receiver. This unit also works well with the Orange RX line of receivers sold by HobbyKing. BTW - you must download the firmware upgrade application from the FMS website.

The instruction says to download appropriate parameter file first and load it onto the Reflex controller. It does not say that it MUST be done from a Windows machine, I have a Mac. After borrowing a windows machine, discovered that the link they provided is stale and no longer exists. After spending some time on their web page, found and downloaded the file. The window's security stopped me from running the *.exe file because it can not be trusted. There is no additional help/support on their web site on what to do from this point. I am relying on Youtube videos and other internet help but so far no luck and the unit is useless so far since I have no idea if I can use it as is in any plane or really need to upload the correct model onto this device.
