Taste Of The Wild Pacific Stream Grain-Free Dry Dog Food With Smoke-Flavored Salmon 5lb

I fed my dogs the cheaper dog food for years. I had no idea that the food I was feeding them was substandard at best. I feel fortunate that neither dog has been sick with anything connected to their diet because I do know that some people aren't so lucky.Searching online for information about dog food that is a better quality, I started to hear things about Taste of the Wild so I decided to check the company and their product out. I didn't have to go very far past the ingredient label to know that this is the food that I should try first.Now, I have a 13 year old Siberian Husky that is one of the pickiest eating dogs on the planet. She will even turn her nose up at potato chips when they are occasionally offered to her. She picks the meaty looking chunks out of the dog food that they used to eat and eats those first. I had to start buying smaller bags of dog food because if the bag had been opened for a while, she would refuse to eat it. I always jokingly say she likes her dogfood like a lot of people like their seafood, as fresh as they can get it.My other dog is a simple idiot. He eats chicken poop and just about anything else that he can fit into his mouth including wood, her fur when she sheds and my flowers out front. Needless to say he is not a picky eater. I wasn't concerned with him not liking it but I was a bit worried what she would think.We went ahead and ordered our first bag of this dogfood. It was delivered on time just like Amazon always does and so we started the transistion from the old to the new by subtracting a bit more of the old with the new every day until they were finally completely switched over. They LOVE this food. Both of them. Even little Miss Picky.It got to the point where they were both actually eating AROUND the old food and leaving it in the bowl. This made me extremely happy because I know that the Taste of the Wild food is MUCH better for them.There is no grain in this food. The ingredients are simple and everyone should be familiar with them. It actually smells good and doesn't have that mealy look to it like the cheaper brands that are full of corn and soy.Neither dog has had any bathroom issues which I know is a concern for some people that are worried that there isn't any fiber in the food because it doesn't contain grain. That's what the veggie material is for. Veggies have fiber. I promise! You dog will have no problems pooping while eating this food because of lack of fiber.This is our new dog food for our two monsters. They are both healthy, happy and both seem to have a bit more energy. Their coats look good and I'm happy with the results.

The only kibble my dog will eat I have tried everything very greatful she has cut down on eating the cat food and looks for her kibble now thank you

My dog was insane about the flavor of this food. The only complaint I have is that he seems to have trouble eating the flat shaped kibble/ keeping them in his mouth. He slobs it all over my kitchen and struggles to get out of his bowl. Possibly because he grew up eating wellness which has triangle shaped kibble? He slobs that a little too but not as bad. I wanted to try something new for him, and he loves fish so I got him this. Our older dog was so so about it but she is picky about any ‘dog’ food from years of being spoiled, so who can tell. I will get them a chicken or duck from this brand her to try next, since this small bag was so well liked. I will buy this flavor for my boy again though since he loves it so much. Just wish he didn’t leave the kibble all over the floor like a maniac.

I have a 13-year-old German Spitz or as some call them an American Eskimo. All his life he has had gut problems and I suspect he has lupus as I have read the breed is very susceptible to the disease. My aunt actually has lupus so I am very well aware of the special diet someone with lupus has to follow. This probiotic salmon food is the only food in his 13 years that he has been alive that has not given him constipation or diarrhea, he has not had a single gut problem for the two years I have been giving him this food. I had to clean his rear end from having constipation or diarrhea at least once a month for 10 years. I really wish I would have known about this food a decade ago he would have been having a much better and comfortable life. He absolutely loves the stinky fish, the stinkier the better lol, and the food texture is not too big or toohard for his 13-year-old teeth to crunch. I mixed in a few little stalks of broccoli chopped up finely and sometimes I put a little bit of steak chopped up with it as well. I am so glad that my vet recommended this food for Nanook.

Due to the recent discovery of a few "food allergies" with my lovely Affenpinscher, the Vet recommended I place both pups on a grain free diet - did some research and this product had the best reviews.Even though this brand/ product may not be found in local groceries or PetSmart / PetCo- I have not minded ordering through Amazon (with Prime - free shipping) or Pet Food Direct, it is worth the cost and the what some would deem inconvenience - (Although, if you live in Richmond you can find it at Fin and Feather in Lakeside - its just priced higher.)The dogs go nuts - They beg and dance around the kitchen waiting to be fed in the mornings...This is a fish protein, grain-free formula with sweet potatoes - It is made with real smoked salmon - warning - this formula stinks like hell, but...delivers some good natural antioxidants and both of my dog's coats are silky and healthy and their eyes seem brighter. Not to mention approved by my vet and the Affie's Allergist -Do use caution - I have had to increase both pups exercise routines (and if you have an Affie, you know this is a struggle to even peel out of the bed; comfort creature for sure)- Both dogs were both getting a bit ... pudgy. But by feeding them a healthier diet, I feel like I am giving them a healthier, happier and longer life.I usually mix the dry with some canned Taste of the Wild, Pacific Stream Canine - or 1/2 can of sodium free organic green beans or carrots.The other pup is a basenji terrier rescue mix...
