Great activities
This was a great introduction into many facets of architecture. From art to function, planning to materials, history to new applications this book has a bit of everything. Activities involved drawing, imagination and practical creativity. Used for a class of 10-14 year olds and it was a great resource.

Soft cover book
I was expecting a hard cover book. All in all it was good and I'm sure our grandson will enjoy it.

Good gift for preteen
My grandchild is interested in design and how things are built. I got him this book, he's loved it. It has design and drawing exercises appropriate for a child between the ages of 10 and 15. The good gift for somebody who likes Legos

Not very good for 8-year kids
This book might be good for 12-year kids. For 8-year kids? Maybe good for some gifted ones but this book is too boring for average 8-year kids in my opinion.
