Best sleep ever.
My opinion 3 mg PR melatonin is the best I ever had.

Effective sleep aid
Recommended by my naturopathic doctor; highly effective for regular use. Great for perimenopausal and menopausal women.

One of the best melatonin supplements available for market
I've been taking various different melatonin supplements off-and-on throughout my life, and I've come to learn that effectiveness varies greatly from manufacturer to manufacturer. You get what you pay for, and thankfully with these, you get a lot. A single dose of these will help you fall to sleep well within an hour, especially if you don't engage in anything too exciting or stay away from screens a bit. The actual sleep quality itself is fine. I don't believe the melatonin helps as much with the staying asleep as it does falling asleep, so for the purpose of the latter, it's a great product. Well worth trying if you're not finding any success with the cheaper or generic brands. The specific "prolonged release" formula as advertised does seem to place it above the rest.

Prolonged release works for me
These are 3mgs per tablet. The tablets are small and easy-to-use swallow. That's important to me especially at nighttime and reclining after dosing. There is a nice slick coating on the tableys which makes for easy swallowing also I like the prolonged release. They help keep me get a full night's sleep. I have some internal prompting to awake about 4 hours after sleep. I still do that but the prolonged release seems to accommodate my going back to sleep more easily.

Tried this product for waking up in the middle of the night unable to go back to sleep.
I’ve only tried this one night so far. I took it as instructed an hour before bed. It did relax me and made me feel sleepy. I went to bed on time, fell asleep pretty fast, but I still woke up at 2:30am and tossed and turned for an hour before finally falling asleep again. Which is good because before trying this I usually couldn’t fall back to sleep and would end up just getting up an hour or two before my 5am alarm. I’ll keep trying it just to see if it helps my issue.

Very Beneficial Sleep and ability to Function the Following day
I had a traumatic brain injury that damaged my brains ability to produce hormones, including the sleep hormone. Without sleep I function at the level of a toddler learning to walk and speak. This Melatonin is so effective that I now get 7 to 9 hours of sleep and function at an adult level again. As other reviewers mentioned, my day starts off really slow; I am not fired up and zipping around like I was before my accident, but I am now sleeping. If you have done any research on long term lack of sleep you will know that it causes dementia and Alzheimer's. So, the slow start I experience in the morning is preferable to loosing my memory permanently.

Great product, but shipping is horrible
The product is great. Shipping takes a while and is never on time. In fact the shipping dates keep changing. I will probably look for a different place to order

So far, so good.
I waited a couple weeks to write this, to see how it worked. I am 71, large and use a CPAP which, among other things, means I wake up 3-4 times a night. Have used the usual OTC stuff for years; they kind of work, a little, but not enough for a good night sleep. Got scripts for Ambien, then Lunesta, which worked for a while, but I seemingly built up tolerance - they are prescribed for short term use, not the chronic sleep issues I have. I still have them but have not used since I read a story about PR Melatonin and thought I'd try. Picked this brand for no particular reason. Well I've slept better than I have in years. About 30 minutes after I take one tab my eyelids start closing, so much so that, for example, I have to put my book down, unable to finish the chapter. That's new for me. And when I wake up in the night I'm soon back to sleep. One surprise is that I've started having the most vivid dreams, or at least I wake up in the middle of a vivid dream. I can't remember that last time I woke up remembering a dream, certainly years, maybe decades ago. And dreams so vivid that as I write this I can remember some dreams that I've had days ago. I'm trying to make sense of what's happening. Whatever it is it began when I started taking these pills which I'm certainly going to continue, but I'm going to experiment not taking them some days and see if my sleep patterns themselves have changed.
