Absolutely the BEST face wash ever made! I’m so glad I can find it on Amazon because Clarins doesn’t sell it anymore :-(

My favorite face wash, gentle, but does great cleaning job. Discontinued so if you can find it buy it. I much prefer it to the newer version from this brand.

First of all, I understand that not everyone have the same skin type or live in the same climate, so most of this review will go to the product in general instead of saying if it will be a good fit or not. For me, this product is not a fit for me as it felt it makes my face feel more oily than it already is.I bought this product in replacement of my regular acne solution product, because I figured as I age, I wouldn't be having that much acne problems, but as soon as I stopped my previous product, I started breaking out again, so I thought my skin was too dry which caused oil and bacteria buildup and wanted to try something that's more gentle to the skin. Here are my pros and cons of the Clarins gentle cleanser...Pros:* It squeezes out as a cream, close to toothpaste consistency, and it's really smooth and light. I really like how it works into a foam, instead of those other branded products where you pump the foam out and work your way in. it really shows the product is doing its job as you work into a foam.* A little bit gives you plenty, and enough to cover your face! I usually use a pea size or smaller every use and it lasted nearly half a year to my usage.* Convenient open and close cap, so you don't have to worry about twisting or turning the cap close as you clean your face.* It feels really gentle on the face.* Easy to store, doesn't take up much space in your bathroom as it's an average toothpaste size bottle.* This really depends on skin type, but it did not leave any remnants on my face after rinsing it off.Cons:* I didn't like the perfume scent, as my skin can get really irritated with scented products. I prefer cleansers with little to no scent.* the cap needs to be cleansed after each use to avoid scums and bacteria buildup, or I need to wash my hands prior to use.* as you reach finishing this product, you wont be able to set it up straight because a slight movement around it will make it fall. Imagine trying to keep a stack of playing cards tower still, or it will get knocked over a lot.* product may stain clothing if not used with precaution. I wear old tshirts or whatnot when I clean my face with this product as it have stained my shirt (creamy looking spots on my shirt). I could not wash it off, but thankfully it's an old tshirt I could care less about it.All in all, this product was not a fit for me because I didn't like the perfume scent, and on top of everything, it made my face feel like a overcooked doughnut thats drenched with oil. Maybe it's just me, but my top priority when it comes to cleansers is the fact that it doesn't have a strong perfume scent. Otherwise, I would recommend this product to those who are looking into trying it. I hope this review will add a few more notes to your research of this product. This is my "go to" Cleanser. It works beautifully and rinses away easily. Just use a little and it goes a long way.
