Beautiful Story from a beautiful and talented individual.
I like to try to keep my reviews short and sweet. I also have a hard time avoiding spoilers. Also, not the greatest wordsmen to talk on this planet! ;-). Here it goes. Have you read Christopher Pike yet? You have? You like his work at all? If so? Pick up this book. It took me by surprise. I had a few portions of the book that had a difficulty for me to get through it due to self reflection, but as I continued to move through it, the light in my tunnel started to shine brighter by the turn of a page. His style of writing is not too difficult to get into. Fairly easy to read. I've never found myself feeling very confused due to his style and that goes for books I've read by him so far. This book definitely causes you to look at yourself. Some things you discover may be hard to handle. Some will make your day perhaps. I felt like I was on the journey as a character myself during my reading of this. That is a huge bonus for me. I read to escape anyway, but when I get that deeper connection with any story, again it's a huge huge bonus.

Incredibly moving!
I replaced my missing copyThrough this purchase. Admittedly, I’m not as avid a reader as my wife is. Years ago she recommended this book from her collection. It has become a beloved favorite. I read it at least once a year. It’s been missing for a few.The first chapter makes me cry when Kathy the dinner waiters asks SatI if she could slice a banana over a bowl of cereal for her. This happened the second time I read it and every time since. This is a version of God that truly resonates with me! Spiritual and moving to the core!

Worth reading
I wanted to try the adult Pike books, because I loved him as an author as a teen. Well, this book was a little different than the ones I was accustomed to as a teen, but it was still good. Not really a horror/thriller but definitely sci-fi. Worth the read.

Inspiration, insight, pure delight
This is an amazing novel. I blew through it. I just couldn't put it down. I don't want to go too much into the story as this isn't a book report but I will say this. The story is incredibly thought-provoking and inspirational. It reminds me a great deal of Richard Bach's better books in the way that it reveals deep insight through the telling of a short and easily read story.I had read Christopher Pike's books before. I enjoyed what I read very much but assumed that was all there was to the guy: vampire and ghost stories for teens. But with this book he reached for new heights and found them. This novel is a complete success and I have no problem at all recommending it to anyone.

A must read
If you have followed the last vampire books this book is about the main female character in those books, I loved the series and I loved her character so I just had to read this book, FYI I just started the book. I’m excited to see where the story unfolds. I recommen you read The Last Vampire books first

Christopher Pike is my favorite author. While I did love his writing I wasn't as on board for this story. Something about it just didn't hold my interest. If it wasn't for his writing style I might have put it down (he writes beautifully). It was short and easy to read and made for a unique story.

Wise and insightful..
Fantastic, the portrayal of 'God' in this gives me shivers, it's exactly how she should be, makes sense beyond religion and creed. Uplifting, life-affirming, intelligent and spiritual - the message here is so important so it's such a shame this book is so unheard off.Anyone who reads this, please please track it down, you won't be disappointed. I got it for 35p in the used section !!
