The plan that ties it all together
I think some (all?) of the negative reviewers are missing the point of this book. Yes, a lot of the information in this book has been written about before, even by Mark himself. What this book does however (at least for me) is tie all that information together into an executable plan. I've read endlessly about Primal/Keto/Intermittent Fasting, etc. but never knew quite where to start and/or how to implement all that information. This book did that for me.

Misleading title
If you are new to primal nutrition and physical function, then you will learn about both in this book. The section on “Resources and Suggested Readings” at the end of the book could be very helpful to the novice. Although I am not an expert on these matters, a great deal of what was written in this book was not new to me after a dozen years of following a Paleo and Primal lifestyle. If you were hoping to read about intermittent fasting (such as two meals a day) as I was, skip to page 145. Although honestly there was nothing new to read about intermittent fasting either. If you are not self-disciplined, this book does have a plan to follow including journaling at the end of each chapter, as well as the 12 Day Turbocharge near the end of the book. The 42 pages of recipes are Paleo or Keto inspired. However, most of these can also be found online. While my biggest criticism of the book is “nothing new”, there are: incorrect pages references within the text, a sparse index, and lack of specific citations throughout the book. Without spending a lot of time researching (e.g. rereading whole sections instead of the inability to search a better index), I was unclear where the authors stood on the use of flax. All in all the book is a fairly “safe read” from two men who are well-experienced in primal living.

Book is repackaged information that has little to do with “two meals a day” - intermittent fasting
Instead of being this helpful guide to intermittent fasting, this book is a dense compilation of lots of information on everything other than intermittent fasting. It feels like the author got lazy and took a bunch of older information (added a little new stuff) and put a new tendu title on the book. Couldn’t be more disappointed. Was really looking forward to reading this.
