Janome MOD-30 Computerized Sewing Machine with 30 Built-In Stitches, 3 One-Step Buttonholes, Drop Feed and Accessories

I have been a professional dressmaker for over 30 years. I already have six different my beloved sewing machines. In addition, I decided to buy this one, the seventh, just because I like the price and all the features I need. Because the machine is cheap, I was skeptical at first, but fortunately, I am happy. It works very well, is lightweight, with quality stitches, and is easy to operate. I would recommend.

This was purchased for our daughter who is new to sewing. My mom suggested this one because she has had the same one for 10 plus years and it’s been a workhorse and easy to use ,Mom/Grandma is a very experienced sewer and has multiple models of sewing machines and still suggested this one. This machine has all the features you would need as a new or experienced sewer. The price was reasonable also. It did take a little longer to arrive so keep that in mind if it’s going to be a gift. Also delivery for us required someone be available to sign for it. Our daughter has been using it for since Christmas and has had now issues operating it.

I replaced a Brother Sewing Machine I have had for thirty years with the Janome MOD-30 and what a joy it is. All the new features I wanted like start/stop button, drop in bobbin and needle threader. I hemmed a pair of jeans in a fraction of the usual time. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I’ve been using Janome machines for 30 years. Couldn’t imagine gifting any other brand. Great beginner machine that will not be outgrown easily.

Hay I am new at this, I read the reviews on this machine liked what folks had to say. As far as the type of usage I will be doing on this machine will change as I learn.

I asked for a Amazon box because it was a machine and I didn't want it to disappear. The actual manufacturers box showed somewhere like it was bounced around inside the Amazon box. But it was well packed inside the manufacturer's box or no damage to the sewing machine. Now on to the sewing machine this is my first gen home I am very pleased. So far it seems to be working as advertised. It's so smooth in it's operation you can hardly you can hardly hear it in there's little and no vibrations. So I'm pleased so far. I'll see how I'm doing in another 30 days thank you.

THIS IS DANGEROUS! BE AWARE that this sewing machine is a 120v model only designed for use in the USA. Using it in the UK without an appropriate 240v-120v transformer will cause it to overheat and cause a fire. See photo of damaged caused after just 30 seconds of use. Amazon refuse to withdraw this from the market despite being warned of the risks, and there is no indication of the voltage in the advert.

I received the sewing machine to discover it has a USA plug, advised to return and replacement sent, the replacement also has USA plug, returned and will buy somewhere else

The sewing machine is made for 120V and has a US-type plug. It has many functions and is very versatile. However, if you’re buying it in Germany, remember it's designed for the USA. You'll need a good voltage converter, or it might be better to choose a different machine

Sold on UK site, but only compatible with US mains power. Disappointed as nowhere in the product description it says it's for American market.
