Good products just plug and play

This works perfectly in Synology DS918+, to increase the memory from stock to 8gb - the maximum supported.I ran a full memory test, and no errors reported. Very happy that I bought this rather than the 'official' Synology version - which was multiples more expensive.

DS1621+ DSM7 prefect with no warning!

I've never used this RAM brand before so wasn't sure what to expect. Installed two sticks in my DS1821+ running the latest, at time of writing, DSM 7.1. So far no issues at all. Restart didn't take much longer than normal and 32GB immediately showed up. I was surprised NO errors or warnings popped up. A quick command line check showed this is in fact ECC RAM which might be why it went so smooth. I'll update if any problems arise but right now this is probably the best bang for your buck. Synology doesn't seem to understand they would sell a lot more RAM if it was priced in a normal range, too bad for them, buy this instead.

This was installed on a DS918+ running DSM 7 to increase the memory from 4 GB to 8 GB. After installing the RAM, the NAS doesn't boot up. It's stuck on the blinking blue light. It's supposed to run through an initial memory check but after 1.5 hours it's still stuck in that state. After removing this RAM and leaving the stock 4 GB, the NAS booted up successfully.Edit (2022-12-07):Per suggestion by the vendor, I’ve returned it because it may be defective and purchased another to try again. I’ll update again when the new one arrives.Edit (2022-12-16):The new RAM arrived and it also didn't work. The issue is not with the NAS because removing the stock RAM and using only this one in the same slot also didn't work. Putting the stock RAM back in and the NAS booted up just fine.
