I temporarily misplaced my official Nintendo New 3DS XL stylus pen the other day. I looked everywhere I could think of where I could have put it with no luck finding it. Not being sure how much I needed it for the game I'm currently playing, I came to Amazon's website and started looking for a replacement. These were about the only ones that stated they worked for my system and were verified to do so by users, so I ordered them. (Of course, not long after, I found mine.)The package arrived today and I opened it up and examined the pens. Another reviewer had mentioned they weren't up to his/her standards as they had ridges that could damage screen. I found some that came off just by running my finger nail over them but they were on the pen not the point so don't know how they would've damaged unless some games use them differently. After examining them, I picked one out and played a bit of my game. It worked fine. I tried putting it away in my NEW 3DS XL, it fit perfectly. I compared the black one to my original stylus pen, it looked very similar. If I hadn't compared closely I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference.Buy these with confidence. As long as you are purchasing them for a Nintendo NEW 3DS XL, you can't go wrong.

As these are but simple pens, there isn't much they could have done to mess them up. However, they don't feel as cheap as I would expect from a third-party peripheral, and are reasonably priced. They fit in the hole they are supposed to, and seem to be made of good material. I would definitely recommend getting these if you've lost the pen to your New 3DS XL/LL (the only model it fits), or in fact if you haven't, just in case you do.

There are pros and cons to this product, the main pro being that there is a large quantity of replacement styluses. The con, which almost outweighs the pro, is that the tip is very sharp and could scratch my screen. However, I just took a pocketknife and whittled away at the tip and now the stylus is fine. Giving a 4 star for the fact that I had to spend time on the stylus to get it to work, which I shouldn't have had to do since it's just a stylus and not something I should have to assemble.

The pens feel good to me, and they stay inside the 3ds, but they have two problems. Firstly, there is a plastic seam that runs down the side of the pen and to the tip. I have heard that this seam could scratch the screen, so I scratched it off with my fingernail. Second, one of my pens (left pen in pic) has a defect. The nub that holds it in is missing, so it slides out easily. I would call that poor quality assurance. (edit) after I posted this review, the seller contacted me and offered a replacement because of the faulty stylus. That's great customer service.

Edit: So a couple hours after I posted my negative review I was contacted by their customer service to resolve the issue. Wow, gotta say, really impressed. 5 stars to you good sirs / madams.OK, so I'm sure this fits the 3ds XL and they're great stylus and all, but its advertised as XL and LL, or the smaller New 3DS - and it doesn't fit the smaller one.Was kinda hoping this was some sort of variety pack that had both kinds, since it says it fits XL and LL. Oh well, guess I have 10 3DS XL stylus I can mess with now.

At least half the pens had some sort of manufacturing defect or another. Most of them stuck slightly when being inserted into my New 3DS XL, and almost every single one of them scratched my screen. They appear to have a seam down their full length which extends all the way to the tip. This means that the tip of the stylus isn’t perfectly smooth, and WILL scratch your screen!

These are just straight forward. The colors are bland and they are nowhere near the quality of the original stylus that comes with your ds/3ds. It’s obviously cheaply made but gets the job done. If you’re in a bind and need a stylus on the cheap, this is a good alternative. I just wish I hadn’t lost my original stylus.

Got these for my daughter 3ds xl. They work perfectly with it. She has not had any trouble with using them. Thank goodness it comes in a 10 pack because being a kid she has lost 3 LOL. I would say these are a decent plastic material and like I said earlier they work on the 3ds xl so good.
