FRABILLFloating Trout Net
T**R
Great Net
I got this (the 13 x 18 model), after using one of those tiny rectangular wooden trout nets for years. This makes landing larger fish much, much easier. Before, it was like target practice to get the big fish in the net. Not something I was fond of as the final stage in landing. I haven't really used the floating feature much, but I got it so my young children might be able to enjoy having fish in the net. I probably could go either way with it. If you're not sure which size to get, I suggest drawing out the dimensions on a large piece of paper or newspaper first, so you know how big the net will be. I was initially thinking of the 17 x 22 version of the non-floating Frabill net, until I saw just how big that would be. One nice thing about the rubberized mesh is that it doesn't retain the fishy smell very long -- the smell of success. You can see the net in the water in the picture.
