Very pleased with this purchase. Improved our dining area. Came wrapped neatly. Quality all around.

Open it in my new apartment and it solidly beat the smell of the fresh paint. Took 4 weeks to air out. Luckily we don't need to use the room much. It looks fine, but it stinks!

It is felt on the backing and it doesnt lay flat. Very stiff and yet also the hide portion is very very thin and even is wearing down after only a few months. I buy hides all the time and I got the idea for this rug (style) after seeing on similar in a luxe hotel (undoubably more). You cannot return this easily if at all. It shippes in a large roll from India and was marked as a "sample" to avoid tax/imports Im sure. Try returning that. Im living with it but dissapointed in spending over $700.00 and wish I would have paid even 1K more and gotten what I really wanted.

This rug is not like the photo. It is VERY poor quality. It was not cut square, and one of the long sides is actually sown in a curve. It looks like the product of a middle school home economics class project. The smell is also unbearable. We hung it in the garage for 24 hours and when we brought it in, the odor (combo gasoline/ polyurethane) was so strong that after having it unrolled in the living room for an hour, my eyes were watering. My dog wouldn't even get near it! Hoping for a refund, but haven't heard back from the seller yet.

Absolutely gorgeous. Stunning quality. Was worried as some negative reviews. Arrived well packed. No smell and each hide strip straight and individually sewn on a nice felt backing. Carpet needs to uncurl still but to be expected given the roll style shipping Love love love
