As described, perfect for pickling and fermenting
These glass weights are perfect for pickling or fermenting. They fit snugly but easily into a widemouth canning jar. The included tongs also fit in canning jars, which is a bonus since some of the tongs I already had are too wide. The glass weights are dishwasherproof. They came in a box with plastic foam cutouts, neatly and securely packaged. I decided to keep the box since it is ideal storage when the weights are not in use.One note: The picture shows a weight being used in a straight-sided canning jar. It works well in that configuration. However, if you use a different jar, like a typical quart canning jar with wider sides, the glass weight may slip, turn sideways, and plunge to the bottom, which could crack the jar. This is not an issue if you have lots of solids in the jar, and really, any glass weight like this poses the same risk. My advice is to stick to straight-sided canning jars with these excellent weights.

Look no further, these are perfect
These are a perfect fit for my wide mouth mason jars. The knob handle makes it easy to remove. The weights are thick, durable and heavy and don't allow floaties to escape through the sides. The glass has an etched design which I find very pretty. Excellent packaging.

Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, il pommello di sopra è perfetto per la battuta dei barattoli con guarnizione, perché oltre a fare peso, esercita anche una pressione dal coperchio. Farei a meno degli accessori (avrei preferito un disco di vetro in più piuttosto), in quanto:- la spazzola è corta (se fosse stata più lunga, la si poteva usare per le bottiglie dove conservo il kombucha).- la pinza non è il massimo della comodotà per preparati sminuzzati come la giardiniera (sarebbe stato più utile un cucchiaio lungo e stretto di legno o plastica)- il ricettario ha solo 4 ricette (in inglese), penso sia da tradurre in italiano (mi offro io come traduttore!) e digitalizzarlo (basterebbe un Qr code e la gente può andare su internet, risparmiando carta, e potendo anche vedere contenuti multimediali o scambiare ricette con altri utenti)Ho apprezzato che dentro la scatola c'era la mail del produttore per avere assistenza in garanzia.Per caso ci sono altri prodotti come questo e altri formati di dischetti in vetro?
