Works great read my directions
Make sure you know which direction to remove your rear sight. It does make a difference. Sand the black coating off of the bottom of the dovetail part of this optic plate. It should be bare metal. Use a very thin film of gun oil or similar and a rubber hammer to tap the slide plate in place. Center as well as possible. Buy a torque wrench and torque the plate screw and 2 optic screws to 18lbs

Perfect fit!
I got this plate to adapt a stock, non-milled, Gen 4, G23 slide to a Vortex Defender CCW red dot.The hardest part of installation was removing the rear dovetail sight. Once that was out of the way, installation was straightforward and the fitment and finish is excellent. Everything holds snug and the sight is not obtrusive in any way. Highly recommended for this combo.

Too narrow for Canik
Not compatible with Canik TP9 SA. Dove tail is much narrower than original sights. FYI- Product is not very thin and doesn’t curve with the slide

If you own a Holosun 407K/597K and non-MOS Glock, this is perfect for you
Update 03/05/2021I finally took it to the range and zero it. It was really easy to zero since the factory setting was already centered and the plate is actually slightly tilted so it can co-witness with the original sight at the distance around 15 yd.Although I did mentioned that the plate is not touching the slide surface after pushed into the dovetail, see the second last picture, but once all the screws are in, the plate is actually tilted so the front edge does touch the slide now. That helps when elevation adjust can't crank more than 30 MOAs in some red dots.During the zeroing and later shoot (around 200 rounds), the red dot is mounted very sturdily, so I couldn't find any shift at the end. More shooting reports will follow if something does go wrong.----It took me some courage to order this item, since there are only two ratings, one at 4 and another was 5, but no review, no pictures. Nevertheless, I decided to give a try, at worst, that’s only $20.First is the the setting, I have a Glock 45 with regular slide, no MOS. The factory sight is simply getting hard for eyes, especially in the dark. I was debating between a Truglo night sights (much cheaper) and this a red dot sight. The problem with later is that you have to get your slide milled so a red dot can be installed. Nowadays, it may take up to months to do so.Then I saw some youtubers are talking about the mounting a red dot on the rear sight dovetail. Just when searching, most of the solutions are quite expensive and some have to wait for back order. Then I find this little item on Amazon. It just had everything I’m looking for, yet no reviews.Nevertheless, after getting this plate and my Holosun 507K, I trial fitted both and they just works great with each other. Then I pushed off the rear sight and put The plate into the dovetail, with some initial hammering and then a slide push tool, it fit in tightly.Notice that the plate and its dove tail are in one single piece, however the bottom of plate is actually not touching the slide, so no worry it will leave any scratch marks, yet still very sturdy and tight.I haven’t zeroed the red dot yet, and not sure if it will stay tightly snuggled after several hundred rounds of firing. I will report that later.

Sits tightly on my Glock 26
This item works well as it sits evenly on my Glock 26 (gen 4) and holds my Sig Romero Zero nicely. Know that this will fit this footprint and not the larger Red Dots. I have a couple laying around and want to utilize them. Unfortunately, my Romeo does not adjust enough...not just for this adapter, but in general...so don't get one of these, get an Ade Spike instead. Because of the lack of adjustment, I had to file away material from the back end where the optics sit to angle it up. You can't even see or tell it was manipulated in anyway because it only needed a .01inch of material sanded off and that is the most removed as it was a gradual decent towards the back. Anyway, both will fit perfectly on the Glock frame. The adapter itself is great! It sits with only .001 inches of gap between it and the slide. That's nitpicking. Your mileage may also vary, however, I will never see that again aside from install or removal. The frame is just a tad bigger than my Romeo, but looks great! I do like it better than the RMR types, especially on my 26 as the size of the ultra micro optics fit within the frame and it does not bulk out. It comes with the adapter, three sets of screws to fit its suggested optics, three frame screws (two are extras).DYI'ers...Do read the paper that comes with it. You can file the area that sits in the iron sight if you do not have a puller or a way to slide the adapter into place. This helps a lot with installation. A punch and hammer will get you there, but it takes a heck of a lot more time to center, so just file that area down. The screw that comes with it will lock it into place.

A good accessory to try out on optic.
I bought this plate to try and optic out. I did about 2000 rounds and only took the plate off because I decided to get my slide milled. The Holosun optic I had sat well and I saw no signs of wear. Make sure you follow installation instructions and use the proper materials.

Rock Solid
I have been a Gunsmith for 44 years so I feel confident in my review. I mounted this plate on a Glock 27, a .40 caliber pistol. Though not needing to do so I read the instructions and they were quite concise and would serve the untrained user very well. Upon mounting and centering the plate with the slide it was torqued and the an Sig Tango Zero was attached to the plate. All holes aligned perfectly and the unit mounted easily.Range testing was quite impressive as the unit remained Rock Solid after 50 rounds of fire. From what I can assess this mounting system is well worth the money. One last point was the inclusion of 3 different lengths of mounting screws that were all pretreated with blue locktite, indeed a sign of quality from this company.Be SAFE…..Shoot Well
