DO NOT PURCHASE!! Adhesive failed and now have smashed screen
After following the instructions to a tee the adhesive lasted about 3 weeks before a smash in the middle of the night and we found the screen had fallen off and smashed beyond repair. I am a technical engineer and competent enough to keep helicopters airborne so consider application of a glue tape to be well within my skills. The tape itself de-bonds from the screen side and the glass simply falls off from the top edge.Now up for a new screen!

Fits 2017 iMac 27" 5K
Bought this kit because I needed to upgrade my 2017 27" 5K iMac's OEM Fusion Drive with a new NvME and PCMe SSD. The pizza cutter tool worked perfectly in breaking the monitor seal. It takes several passes to cut thru the adhesive, so just take your time. The suction cups were handy for lifting the display up. Make sure to take the extra time to remove ALL of the old adhesive and clean with rubbing alcohol. The replacement adhesive strips fit perfectly. I allowed the iMac to sit face down overnight as a precaution to allow everything to set and settle. The replacement adhesive strips are holding really well and I haven't had any issues with the adhesive failing.

Exactly what I needed
This kit includes everything you need for a SSD upgrade, I did this on my late 2014 27 inch iMac 5k and all items required for this was there. Suction cups, screw driver, adhesive and SSD temp sensor.Adhesive is strong and holding the screen very well.

Umbau Kit ist nur zu empfehlen. Display hält bestens. Umbau auf SSD hat sich gelohnt. Jeder Zeit wieder und der Mac ( 27 Zoll Ende 2012) ist wieder fasst so schnell wie früher.
