Coleman 9430D715 Delux Ceiling Assembly

I purchased the ***C866 AC unit a month ago from another re-seller on another web site for less cash to replace a 12.5 btu unit. From the reviews here, everyone said it was plug and play, evun the 12.5. Nope! Bolt pattern for the Ceiling Unit are different. The Amazon recommendation for this unit meant nothing, as most the time they are trying to just sell more merch. After I ordered, I sent the re-seller a note, explaining my situation and asked IF this would work with my AC purchase. He replied, "...I don't know what you are talking about...". Anyway, this IS the ONE. Plug and Play! AND, IF your Ceiling Unit is the older type, get this one. The filters pop out easily, there is 2 - 3 times more outlet for the cool air, it is slim and trim and the controls are on the bottom. This is a Precision Installation. Everything JUST Fits! Screws seem too short, but exactly the right length. NO extra drilling of holes, they are already there IF you look. Instructions for this unit are included with the instructions for the *C866. Excellent technical writing! You are told how to know the unit is working properly. How to set the temp for cooler nights and what NOT to do as far as Short Cycling. And, the best part, the *C866 moves cold air!!!

I purchased this unit with a new Mach 15. The filter system is superior in that I no longer have to remove the entire fascia for cleaning as I did on the old Ceiling Assembly. The new assembly has a lower profile giving me more headroom. The switches are easier to access and read.

Bought this to go with the Coleman Mach 8 Plus A/C unit. The unit comes without an air distribution system and this one is the right one for our application in a Fleetwood Angler. Installation was pretty straightforward and easy to do myself. Local shops wanted $300-$500 to install the A/C + ceiling assembly and it took me about a day for vent removal, cleanup and installation of the new unit. The hardest part was getting the 90# A/C unit itself up on the roof of the camper. The included instructions were thorough and there are lots of on-line videos for DIYers. Everything worked just fine immediately.

The Coleman ADB is so much easier than the Dometics. Very good instructions pretty much plug and play once you have the power hooked up. They even give you bolts. The dometic doesn't (if you have Dometic AC unit) and the easy access for filters is great.

Certainly an upgrade compared to original equipment. Very easy to install. Needed no modifications. Jayco 23b feather lite.

My old ceiling control was in bad shape after 20 yrs this new looks nice and works great

Ok well first off it didnt come with any intructions but im pretty handy and just removed the old moldy broken one and installed the new one in reverse. Went together great. Came with all hardware and a new liner that goes between the actual ac unit and the ceiling hood. Will probably buy again to replace the rear one on our bus.

I had the standard interior "shroud" (?) in a truck camper sporting the same a/c. This is much nicer. Went in perfectly and it is probably a bit quieter than the standard, if they even make it anymore. Well made. Recommend it.

Because of the covid issue, we were able to get the Upper a/c unit from an RV place but they did not have the matching lower part in stock. I found that part of the unit available here on Amazon from these sellers. It matched perfectly and works so well. We were really excited and grateful because the RV would have been to hot to stay in while travelling. Without this unit, we would not have been able to visit our family.
