I've just made my second relish from this book and both have been great. Clearly I have many more to get through, there are a little over 80 recipes for pickles, chutneys, relishes and the like.The book is a joy to look at, read, dip into and browse, regardless of whether you intent to produce savouries or not. The photographs are beautiful, the prose is simple, straightforward, readable and from the two recipes I have done - easy to follow.The introduction is a real encouragement to 'have a go' is and extremely informative. Making the relishes hasn't been rocket science, just an enjoyable therapeutic exercise from getting hold of the ingredients, the cooking and the bottling.My family and friends can't wait for my next effort, as I have shared the results of my first efforts. This year will be a year of savouries, after all, who has bread and jam these days ?

delightful book
A definitive guide to making chutney, pickles and sauces full of information and precise instructions also well written and a pleasure to read, completed by colourful photos of finished products.
