Drain Pump 00436440

Didn't have draining issues that we knew of, washer seemed to work just fine. Little did I know the impeller was in such bad shape until we got an error code that turned out to point to the drain pump. After testing realized it had just quit draining...Opened up the inspection/cleanout port on the front and did not find the sump dirty or full of lint, etc. Did then realize that the impeller was free spinning and not moving water. Can't complain on a washer that's almost 20 years old!Fast forward to this replacement part arriving...as mentioned in other reviews, there were two items that extended the installation time aside from the really cramped location:1) the electrical connection area on the back of this one has a shroud, ostensibly to protect the connection, that makes it harder to reach when plugging in, and the plug orientation is 'upside down' compared to original. Checked this prior to installation so was aware, but it added a bit of time to orient while not being able to see the back of the unit, just need to do it by feel.2) discharge hose is a bear to get into new outlet. Knew this going in from other reviews but even with lubrication, the space to work is really tight and really needs two hands to hold pump and hose to fully insert and lock in place with the tabs. I found that repeatedly checking by shining a light on the connection to check orientation of the locking tabs and rotating eventually got the tabs locked in place.Washer is functioning perfectly now and seems to be draining faster but it may just be perceived due to the new unit.All in all a relatively easy and perfect replacement to keep our beloved Bosch hopefully running for years to come.

The pump did indeed fix the poor draining error of our original and very old pump but this pump makes more noise than our original one and the electric plug socket would not accept my connector without trimming a little of the "keyed" part of the connector. I believe this was a good value so far. It's been installed for approx 3 weeks and still working.

sometimes when getting an aftermarket item, fit is not quite correct and some modification is necessary. I can live with that when saving well over 50% of the cost of the OEM item.Sometimes, however, the supplier exceeds expectations. That is the case of this item. Perfect fit. came with new rubber vibration lockdown pads. easy to install. works great - washer is actually performing better than before. I would highly recommend this item.

Works Well and the Hoses Actually Fit as Needed and Have Not Leaked. Unfortunately it is Very Noisy After it Ages a Month or Two. At least it works well at draining the water.

I am glad I found this pump at a great price for my WFMC2201UC-13. It is working as well as the original pump that had been there for years. The installation was slowed by the issue others have had with the discharge hose. The solution was to make my own discharge hose using a 1" rubber drain pipe coupling and some flex tubing to replace the no longer available Bosch "gutter drain" part. It's working and I saved a ton over getting another washer. I also like the tiny hose that is used to empty the pump housing before removing the threaded cap for cleaning. No more water on the floor every time I check the pump for lint and debris. I have another similar machine and am going to buy another one of these pumps to have on hand as a spare.The pump went out on my second washer and I bought another one of these pumps. The original pump on the second machine was black plastic. The installation went much smoother this time even though there was the same issue with the discharge hose being a very tight fit. By applying a water soluble lubricant to the pump outlet and the o-ring on the hose plus using a bit of force, the connection was made.Looking back, I should have changed the o-ring on the hose of the first machine to one with a slightly thinner rubber part. Possibly an R-15 o-ring and some better lubricant.These pumps work well.

I waited to submit the review.It's been 5 months and the pump is doing fine.It went in easily (sorta, kinda). Drain tube puts up a fight as noted elsewhere.Do yourself a favor and tape up the inner edge of the opening so as to avoid cuts and scrapes.Quality is top notch.

Seems to be at least as good as the original. Easy to install. Been going for a couple of months now and no issues whatsoever.

It was a perfect fit and works great. Also love that it had a drainage tube added. I definitely recommend it as a replacement part.
