This will take some practice. First time I dragged this out I was shooting a guy up in our tree trimming branches that broke in a heavy snow storm. It was a bit tricky trying to get the ball and the reflection in focus at the same time as the upside down image. But the ones that I got turned out interesting. Even in snow, if the sun is out, you MUST NOT leave it UNATTENDED. IT WILL START A FIRE IN SECONDS, even in the snow if the sun is out. This is better suited for use indoors in a studio. Your chances of saving your marriage and living thru it are higher because you won't burn down your house. A fun special effect to try, I recommend a tripod. The glass had a few small infractions, but you really have to look hard to find them. It won't show up in your photos however, that is not what the camera focuses on. (I've seen OP bothered by that but it's unnecessary worry) They are insignificant for this purpose. And if it's sitting on your mantle, your guest will need a magnifying glass to find them, IF they do. It looks cool with a light under it for decoration (unless you keep it in your bag all the time) I store mine in an extra lens bag I have since the box for it is low grade silk lined cardboard, and wouldn't last in my camera bag long. A smaller size might have been better, but this will do what I need it to with some practice. (CPL and lower exp/wb also would've helped that day) but we were just trying to shoot w/ it. Have to figure out how to send it upright, it turns in the camera and on my screen, but turn upside down when they 're sent. Hey, I'm learning

This is a nice big ball.Mine seems perfectly clear with no imperfections or bubbles and for this price it is more than I expected. Not sure if this is "optical" quality glass or if this was originally intended to just be a nice looking display item. It does serve its purpose as an inexpensive, fun and creative addition to you photography stable of equipment. It is heavy, as to be expected from a big chunk of glass. If you are shooting in direct sunlight please be careful. The solar burning focal point, think burning ants with a magnifying glass (not that I ever did such a thing) can easily fall on the palm of your hand while you are holding the sphere. My ball came shipped in just a bag, it actually had a nice display case that was completely smashed in shipping but gave its life for the glass.

I was really impressed with the clarity. There were no air bubbles, which can be a concern for some less expensive brands. I was impressed with the weight. It was exactly what you’d expect and a great value for the price. Overall it was great quality, no need to buy an expensive one for more money. You’ll be satisfied with this purchase. It’s been a fun experience to try it out.

got this for a girl for my sister. the stand does not fit the balk very nicely and the bank has fallen off and gotten scratched. other than that it is a good decoration as well. works well for photos as well.

This crystal ball (or whatever you want to call it) is a great option for anyone desiring such an accessory. It is very smooth; there are no obvious defects. I used it for the first time last night while lighting fireworks and was pleased with the end result! The matching stand is a nice touch, but requires a flat, solid surface to place it on, which can be a bit tricky. Most such surfaces are large enough to either get in the way of the camera, or end up in the image. I'll be ordering a suction mount for it very soon so I can mount it on a tripod.

Fun for photography, if you can figure out how to do it. Didn't realize everything was going to be upside down. They should come with a cloth for cleaning finger prints off the glass ball.

I’ve only used it once to expirement with some photography. My Granddaughter loved it so much (said she wanted one for Christmas instead of an iPod) that I just gave her mine and ordered a second one for me! Quality seems top notch. Nice and clear crystal. I’m anxious to go out and take more photos with it.

Great value and purchase. I bought mine for a beach trip but have found them useful for decor also. They are beautiful and definitely have an amplifying presence. I ended up with two after purchasing the larger one- which was much larger than you expect- but they both are great for photos. In my opinion the smaller one has a sharper reflection and is easier to handle and transport. The larger one feels like a bowling ball lol.

Not sure what everyone moaning about saying packaging is tatty and ball chipped, marked ect O. O , none of these with mine I received today.Packaging is nice and ball itself is lovely only thing that let it down is no cloth to clean with but It never stated this on description so items exactly as states.Looking forward to doing more photos and ith this. La sfera è eccellente come descrizione vendita ad un ottimo prezzo. Perfetta, lucidissima, non ha graffi, non ha bolle all'interno, nitidissima e va benissimo per scattare foto "artistiche" sia con reflex che con lo smartphone, ideale per essere poi condivise sui vari social. Inoltre marchiata Neewer già questo è sinonimo di marchio di garanzia. Con la confezione è inclusa la basetta di appoggio anch'essa di cristallo trasparente. L'effetto che si ottiene, (per ovvie ragione delle regole ottiche), dell'immagine all'interno della sfera, è rovesciata, ma bastano pochi passaggi su photoshop o altro programma di fotoeditor e potete mettere dritta l'immagine all'interno della sfera come in questo esempio da me effettuato. Questa sfera della misura di 80mm, con la sua basetta d'appoggio, come vedete dalle foto allegate, pesata sulla bilancia, ha un peso di 682 grammi. Arrivata nel giro di pochi giorni dall'ordine, grazie ad Amazon's Choice, in pacco confezionato da Amazon, è risultato perfetto ed esenti da ammaccature. Sono molto soddisfatto dell'acquisto, meritatissime le 5 stelle di valutazione complessive e per Presentazione/Ottimo rapporto-qualità-prezzo/Ottimo-come-idea-regalo. Risponderei ad una eventuale domanda: "se ne consiglio l'acquisto" con: "certamente senza alcun dubbio".

Ich habe mir diesen Lensball zum Rumprobieren bestellt, für den Preis kann man auch nicht viel falsch machen. Er ist kristallklar, ohne Einschlüsse, nicht zu klein und funktioniert einwandfrei - ich glaube, einen teureren werde ich mir gar nicht erst zulegen. Wozu auch? :-)Die Lieferung war schnell wie immer, die Verpackung okay.Der Ball wird mit einem kleinen Kristallständer in einer nicht wirklich hübschen Schachtel geliefert. Ich hab mir ein Samtsäckchen gekauft, darin lässt er sich leicht transportierten.
