QUINT Premium 12" Rolling Ruler

The rolling ruler works as expected with one major flaw. I remember a ruler I had years ago that had a cutout over one of the black "wheels". This allowed you to hold the barrel in-place with your thumb once you got the measuring line "zeroed". Without that cutout, it's virtually impossible to use the measuring feature on the barrel as you can't get it zeroed, pick it up, and set it back down without the barrel turning. The solution...I took the barrel off and cut my own thumb hole so I can hold it. Now it works like it should, but for the price I shouldn't have to modify it. If you're going to make parallel lines, and don't care about measuring the space between them, then the barrel measurements aren't necessary. If you want to be able to "start at zero" to get the measurements you want, then this ruler isn't for you...unless you're willing to fix it as I did. I will add pictures later.

It's actually pretty good for my use. I would like to see a way to stop and set the roller til you position it, then release it for the measurements. I drilled and tapped the housing just above one of the rollers and use a screw to lock the roller. crude, but it works.

The QUINT Premium 12" Rolling Ruler arrived when expected and works well. The only problem I have with it is that the centimeters are on the outside instead of the inches. Other than that it is an ok product.

I dropped it one time from my work station and it put a large crack in it... sooooo be careful when using it over hard floors or surfaces.

Broke pretty easily

Very good ruler. I used it for my technical drawing course at design school, where we drew on a A3 paper, so I didnt need a bigger ruler or a drafting table. This was just perfect.

This is a great ruler for working on paper that you need to move the ruler on. Just exactly what I was looking for.
