This zester is designed well, is sturdy and has a rubberized handle so it does not slip. It works very well zesting lemon peel and orange peel for recipes. It is a little larger than I thought, but then again I have small hands.

I ordered this microplane grater when my previous one broke. I like this grater a lot because it efficiently pulls zest off of citrus as well as finely grating parmesan cheese which are my two main uses. I like that the zest stays on the grater and I can grate the entire lemon and drop all the zest in at once. It cleans easily and the plastic cover keeps me from grating my knuckles on it when reaching for it in the drawer.

The recipe called for the zest of two oranges. My cheese grater wasn't up to the job and a knife wouldn't have produced a fine enough zest. This was a pleasure to use.Not cheap. Won't use it that often, but dang -- it did the job beautifully. I like fact that it has a cover so that it won't carve up my fingers when I reach in the drawer for it a few months -- or years from now.
