OUTSTANDING....!!!!
Tried 3 other brand antennas, not to mention names, they did nothing impressive, only 4 channels. Put this antenna up at the same height, 40 feet, aim in same direction and WHOA...!!!, 16 channels strong as ever. All the stations are at 40 miles plus away from my location. I live in between 2 mountains/hills and it worked, full to half strength signal with beautiful picture...!!!!. Worth the money to me. I have Winegard on my camper/rv model 360+ Omnidirectional and it does a bang-up job at campgrounds with stations 40+ miles away.....This antenna is a small foot print but gets the job done.....!!!! Winegard is the way to go. Quality, build was easy and customer service....all great. Recommend this product highly...!!!UPDATE: Rotated antenna and scanned channels....NICE...Picked up 10 stations 65 miles from me with great signal and clarity...Antenna is worth it....

Sad Piece Of Plastic Junk
I live in Northwest Florida (Pensacola) and I put up my first Antenna 18 years ago, Over the years I have had three different types of outdoor antennas mounted 20' up on a Antenna Pole, They were all a disappointments as far as receiving Digital over the air Broadcast, especially if the station was using the old VHF, which my local Fox and one Independent still uses.So one day I decided to call the Station Engineer at my local fox station whose Transmitter Tower is 54 miles west of me, As luck would have it the man lived 5 Miles south of me, He then informed me that the only Outdoor Antenna that he has found that will pick up all the stations in our area including VHF is the Winegard Flatwave "FL6550A" which advertises a 60+mile range, So I bought it and installed it, and to my amazement I was receiving 37 Clear Clean Channels including VHF, That was 5 years ago, Anyways to make a long story short, When I seen that Winegard had introduced the Winegard Elite I knew I had to have one to pull in even more stations, My plan was to use a splitter and point the Old Flatwave to the East so I could receive 4 stations in that direction. So down came the old Flatwave and up Went the new Elite, I then stepped inside and did my Channel Scan and looked and seen that I only had 19 Stations and NO VHF Stations, Even though I had used my Compass to point the Elite in the correct direction for all the Broadcast Towers that set due West of me, I then when out side and made some fine adjustments and did a rescan and it was worst, I then decide to install my old Flatwave to see if I had a bad connection, I did and I was back up to 37 stations including the VHF ones.I would like to add that the Fit and Finish on this so called Elite Antenna is a Joke, For the Price Winegard is charging for this you would think it would be more Sturdy, But when I opened up the box and seen that it was 95% Cheap Plastic I knew it wouldn't last 2 years in the Sun and High Winds here in Florida, In fact the screws they include are "Self Tapping" Corse Threads that cut into the Plastic when you screw them, so if you over tighten them just a little bit your toast because the Plastic hole will strip out.

Stellar reception
I had a Winegard indoor antenna and it was hit or miss. Sometimes shows would record without a glitch and other times they were unwatchable on certain channels. I figured I was just on the edge of the acceptable range and varying weather could affect my results.Going with this antenna has made all the difference. My TV reports a +20dB signal improvement on most of the channels which is enough that in a few weeks of use reception has been close to flawless. Every now and then I get some noise but it tends to last for 1 second or so and then the broadcast is back to normal.I got this for just under $95 and I'm happy with the price. As I write this the price has increased by 50%! It does NOT come with any coaxial cable so you have to already have that or buy it to connect this antenna to your device. More surprisingly it does not come with any screws for the mount for your house so you also need those. I really feel those should have been included. I can understand that some people don't need a cable and everyone's length would vary but it's not very obvious in the product listing that no cable or mounting screws are included.

EXCELLENT Range
I installed it using a phone app recommended in the instructions to aim the antenna. I'm about 45-60 miles from the towers in the city to my North. It loaded a ton of channels and I'm glad I got rid of the satellite. I did add a lightning filter in 2 places along the line as we have a lot of problems with electrical storms. Free digital antennas pay for themselves in a couple of months vs cable or satellite. It also works after a hurricane when everybody else has no TV. All you need is a low power source for the line booster (included) such as your UPS battery backup or generator. It's such a good way to ease your mind during/after a disaster to have a functioning television.

Missing the amplifier parts!
I purchased a reduced price unit. It supposed to have all the parts. Nope. Missing the white amplifier, cable and plug. The manufacturer Wengaurd is sending the missing ‘hardware-component’ bag.I’m not sure getting a discounted one is worth it.
