The rain gauge has not worked since I purchased this unit. It has been reset and followed instructions several times. Can you help solve this issue?

Hello, We would be happy to assist you with your unit! Please make sure that you are using standard alkaline batteries from a high-quality brand in all units, then perform the following reset. Please follow the steps carefully as the order is crucial to the success of the reset. Hard Reset: 1. Bring all units together and power down by removing all batteries from each and/or removing the power cord. 2. Change the A-B-C switch on all units to a new, matching channel. 3. Reinstall the batteries in the outdoor sensors. 4. Reinstall batteries and/or power cord into the display unit. 5. Let the units sit within a couple of feet of each other for approximately 5 minutes or until you see a solid sensor signal. Can you shut the alarms off?

Hello LK NorthStar, Yes, the alarms can be turned off on this model. The alarms are programmable. Each selectable weather category features an alarm option. When an alarm sounds, the display emits audible beeping and flashes the affected category, its alarm settings, and any other relevant data. Alarms can be customized to alert you when your programmed value is reached. Does it show wind chill?

Hello Ann Marie, This unit does not calculate the Wind Chill, however, it will calculate the Dew Point and the Heat Index. My machine was purchased in December and it shows negative 40 all the time. How do I fix it?

First, please make sure that you are using fresh batteries in all units, then perform the following reset. Please follow the steps carefully as the order is crucial to the success of the reset. Hard Reset: 1. Bring the display unit, lightning detector/temp and humidity sensor, and rainfall collector indoors and position side by side. 2. Remove the batteries from all units and unplug the display. 3. There is a channel switch on all units right above the batteries. Change the A-B-C switch on all units to a new, matching channel. You must select the same letter choices for the display, rain gauge, and lightning sensor/temp and humidity sensor in order for the units to synchronize. 4. Reinstall batteries in the rain collector and lightning detector/temp and humidity sensor first. 5. Reinstall batteries in the display unit last. 6. Let the units sit within a couple of feet of each other for a few minutes to gain a strong connection.
