Smoothness of application and dark line
I have used several types of pens for my art projects. Seeing this product on YouTube being used by an artist inspired me to purchase a set of pens in various sizes. I am so glad that I did. I have used Micron for years with a few others thrown in, but this product surpasses them all. Smooth application. No fighting the paper...I used them on watercolor paper over watercolor pigment. They withstood the test. On less rough paper they breeze through the sessions. The color is dark and waterproof. I wish I would have found them sooner.

Perfect Fineliner pen for Zentangle drawing!
The media could not be loaded. Quick drying, vibrant color, doesn’t bleed through , waterproof! Perfect pen for my Zentangle drawing! Been recommending to other tanglers in social media!

Best overall writing pens
My rankings of top writing pens (all deliver excellent overall line/ink quality):1. Mitsubishi Uni Pin Fine Line - good grip, darkest black, best glide, very good precision2. Staedtler Pigment Liner - best grip, ok black, ok glide, excellent precision3. Sakura Pigma Micron - mediocre grip, ok black, ok glide, top precisionNote on grip -- I tend to hold pens fairly close to the nib, the farther out you hold the pen, the less of a difference there is between these pens.Overall, my default pen (or especially if I want to write quickly) is Mitsubishi Uni Pins because they glide on paper the smoothest and the ink looks the richest. When I feel like more like using a slightly more comfortable & precise pen, I switch over to the Staedtler Pigment liners. While the Sakura Microns are still excellent pens overall, I no longer use them because they lose in grip comfort to the Staedtlers, and lose in everything except precision to the Mitsubishi Uni Pins.

Great for drawing!
Teen son has been using these fine-liners for awhile and they seem to be holding up quite well. He's used them on mixed media paper and other sketch pad paper, and they have not bled through any of his drawings. He's used them along with colored pencils and alcohol markers without any issues. He advises to let it dry for at least 2 minutes before erasing sketch lines or coloring. He's very satisfied with these and they've been a terrific addition to his art supplies.

Water resistant Not waterproof
These are good pens bur not Water"proof" as indicated on the marker iteslf. They are water resistant, but will bleed if used with watercolor.

Genuinely some of the best pens I’ve used
While microns have the popularity, these pens are affordable and have lasted me years. Excellent and clean lines, perfect for sketching and comic art. They also don’t smudge, which is a huge plus!

Great -- and they ARE water resistant/waterproof
I purchased these pens (both the ten-pack and the six-pack) for drawing and urban sketching. I have not been disappointed with the quality of the pens and how easy they are to use. The boldness of the thicker pens’ lines is great and the fine pens create the light lines often needed in drawing. However, when I tried to use watercolors to enhance my urban sketching, I was disappointed. The company’s description states that the pens won’t bleed once the ink is dry -- I did not find that to be true. I waited over a week to try to add watercolor to one of my sketches but, after testing a small area with a damp thumb, realized that the ink bleeds regardless of the ink being completely dry before testing it. These are great pens if your desire is to use them for sketching but I’d stay away from them if you want to add watercolor to those drawings.Update: I inadvertently used watercolor paints on several of the sketches I made with these pens — and there was NO ink bleeding. Since the first watercolor painting, I’ve probably made a dozen more and the ink remains waterproof once dry. I upgraded my rating to 5 stars and am delighted with these pens.
