Milani Color Statement Lipstick - 07 Best Red

I love this lipstick. Goes on smooth and the colour is true to the image. I get a lot of compliments on the colour.

I love the smell of Milani lipsticks! Great product and great colour. I diffuse the shimmer in the brown lipstick a bit by putting a brown liner over it but If you're looking for a shimmery brown this is for you.

This is a nice subtle day-to-day red, while not being too like you're going out clubbing or to the pub for a few drinks. It's also not too dark, unlike some red lipsticks that I own. This even works being worn to your work. I've not had any issues, like the previous reviewer mentioned, with dry lips during or after wearing. I regularly suffer with dry lips and go through lipbalm like it's going out of fashion. This does pick up the slightest bit of dry skin that you may have, so make sure you've applied lipbalm beforehand, or make sure your lips are ex foliated, to make them extra kissable. I have only needed a couple of touch ups throughout the day, and even then it's only been a quick dab. It has come off very slightly just in the corners, through eating and drinking, but has stood up quite well to my constant lip licking also. The only thing which I will say (which is to be expected, to be honest), that it does not last while kissing your other half. However, it doesn't end up smeared all over their face either, which is a good thing. You may need some touch ups or a whole new coat after a good passionate session, but it's always worth it. I haven't noticed my lips being stained after removing it, although my pillow might have something else to say about that. It does make my lips feel very soft, and it really is a nice shade of red. Really happy with this lipstick and hopefully you will be too!

Nice lipstick. Darker than I would like but can't blame the lipstick for that. I'm dark skinned south Asian with dark lips and it's not that it didn't suit me, but it's wasn't a nude everyday lipstick for me. I have still given it 5stars because I will get use out of it. It has a good texture, not too glossy but does have gold flecks that give it a shimmer. Smells pleasant and quite long lasting (2-3 hrs during which I had a coffee) most lipsticks are gone within the hour for me. Great packaging - the gold casing looks really nice. Arrived the next day, though it was just thrown into a huge box that had a pressure cooker in it, without any other packaging. Fantastic value for the price, I paid £3.something as an add-on item. I will definitely order this brand again, though not this colour.
