I feel that this light-weight vacuum cleaner has saved my sanity. I keep this Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner in my dining room and kitchen area of our house. Like most mothers, you feel that your house can never stay clean no matter how often you pick up. Personally, I feel that sweeping takes too much time and I am always left with crumbs that were either missed or not able to be swept up by a simple dust pan. I believe that the Dirt Devil Vacuum Dirt Devil Vacuum Cleaner Simpli-Stik Lightweight Bagless Corded Stick and Handheld Vacuum has saved me plenty of time and energy to allow me to focus on other things! CONVIENCE: In today’s time, most people enjoy convinces of things in life. Personally, I think that this Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner is very convenient to the fact which all I need to do is plug this item in to an outlet and begin to vacuum up messes. My son drops a lot of food while eating so having this quick pick up really helps keep our day going. I know that some may say that the standard broom does the same job and I thought that too at first, but once I first used this vacuum it was less of a hassle to clean up the messes on the floor. This is not used for liquids, just crumbs. I was surprised to see that it would suction even larger items such as a normal vacuum cleaner would. I enjoy not having to try and wiggle out the crumbs that fall under the ledge of the cabinets on the floor. This vacuum quickly sucks it right up with no hassle. ATTACHMENTS: The one thing I knew with purchasing this vacuum cleaner was that I would not be using this to clean my carpets, but simply the small messes in the kitchen and dining room. If you are looking to have a vacuum for carpet, this is not the vacuum you would want. If you are looking for easy, quick pickups then this is a great product! This vacuum has a couple different features. It can be used as an upright vacuum, a handheld vacuum, and it also has a smaller attachment for tight to reach placed. This is a simple vacuum that gets the job done without the bells and whistles. I feel that having the upright position is great for vacuuming floors. But, if you want to vacuum out your car or even the couch the handheld option is perfect! The smaller attachment is great for getting in between the pockets of your couch. My one complaint with the features is that converting upright to handheld, you must take off the wheel portion of the vacuum. I find it can be difficult at times to remove that part. Other than that, I am very satisfied. CORD: Since I purchased to use this vacuum in my kitchen and dining room area, I am now realizing that the cord could be longer. The cord is 16ft, but even though my kitchen and dining room are in the same room, it still does not reach all sides. I would not say this is a deal breaker for me, but it can be a downfall I see with this vacuum. If you are within reach for the rooms you are looking to vacuum for, then it should not be an issue. FILTER: I LOVE that this vacuum is bag less! I have had the older, bulky vacuums that require bags and it is just costly to keep replacing them. I enjoy that the filter can be either cleaned or replaced. The replacements I have seen cost less than $8.00. I have had this vacuum for 11 months and have never had to replace the filter yet. The quick release of a push of a button and you can empty your filter. As this is a lightweight vacuum that can clean small rooms, if you are looking for a vacuum to clean your entire house, this is not for you. This Dirt Devil vacuum is great for needing to clean specific rooms or items. LIGHTWEIGHT: My experience with vacuums are that they can be bulky and heavy. This is not the case with the Dirt Devil vacuum. This vacuum is only 3.8lbs. Its small enough to just fit in the corner of the room with not taking any space. I love that I can easily take this vacuum without feeling hassled by the weight of this item. PRICE: I was blown away when I started using this vacuum because of how much I paid for it. For the great suction, being lightweight, having beneficial features I am simply blown away that it does not cost more! I have been using this vacuum daily, sometimes multiple times a day for just under a year and it still works just as good as the first day I purchased it. This is truly I feel the best vacuum you could get for such an amazing price!

This is my go to vacuum and has been for many years. I got my first one about 20 years ago to clean up dry spills my kids made. The vacuum has been upgraded some over the years, better technology and all that, but is still in essence the same great product at the same great price. The suction has gotten much better over the years and the addition of the removable stick is a very welcome one! The edge tool provided is so helpful. This vacuum is light and easy to assemble. It works great on low and no pile flooring but not so great on high pile carpeting. You can use it to quickly get crumbs off your table or counter but moisture is its nemesis so be wary of that. The fully enclosed cannister is perfect for sucking up beads, sequens and glitter that you can then reuse if the canister and filter are kept clean. (For this price, I've always had one dedicated specifically to crafts for this exact reason.) Cobwebs are no match for this tiny beast and the stick makes it easy to reach those high corners. The lightweight body and long cord of this vacuum makes it the perfect tool for cleaning your stairs and baseboards. The filters are inexpensive and often come in multipacks. I can generally get 6 months of daily use out of a single filter. The filters *can* be rinsed in a pinch but must be air dried completely before using again. The cannister and edge tool can absolutely go through the dishwasher, the wide head and motor cannot (obviously.) I wouldn't recommend this as a primary pet hair control tool, the suction is not strong enough to remove the hair thats embedded deeply into fabric and the plastic used to make it attracts the pet hair to the wrong area of the vacuum. (You end up with more pet hair on the outside of the vacuum than in the cannister in my experience.) I would suggest making sure you empty the cannister and brush off the filter every time you use it for optimal longevity and operation. This vacuum stands on its own using the wide head, is light enough to be hung on a command hook and the stick is just the right size to fit into a pressure clamp broom holder, making it easy to store even in a small dorm. This is all around a great vacuum and I recommend it to everyone.
