Pyramid World Map Vintage Style Poster Print

I ordered this world map to hang in the breezeway into my house. I wanted something with a subdued vintage look, and this did the trick. I ordered just the poster itself, which was very inexpensive for its good quality, and shipped free. It is on glossy, poster-like, heavy duty paper. It is up-to-date as far as 2009 (so some country borders are not up to date, but it is 99% accurate). I got this for decorative purposes, so I dont mind if South Sudan doesnt have up to date borders... It came wrapped in a cardboard tube, and was well protected. It was POURING rain when it was delivered but the mail man wrapped it in a plastic bag, so my map arrived in perfect condition. Also I liked that it was not folded; since it came rolled up in a tube it is perfect and had no creases.

It was pretty and large. When I took it out it was not wrinkled like other commentators said it was. It was shipped super fast, way earlier than the estimation date. I am horrible at geography so that is why I ordered it, plus I'm taking AP European next year so I'm going to have to learn my the geography of Europe. However, I thought it would be a bit thicker, so I could just tape the poster on the wall in front of my desk. I don't think I can do that now though, because it's super fragile and thin. It's thinner than your regular copy paper. It's glossy, giving it a beautiful effect and it won't get old. You can simply clean dust off by wiping it with a wet cloth or towel. Other than the part of the "thin and fragile" I have no regrets of buying it. I think I'm going to have to buy a frame for it though, so I can hang it up.

The good: Pleasant colors, cool look. Fun to look at. It sits on the wall right above my desk and entertains (and distracts) me and my friends for hours. The bad: Horribly off proportions, but that was obvious when I bought it so can't really complain. I would recommend, makes any room look that much cooler :).

A great, inexpensive way to fill some empty wall space! Most posters cost a fortune, but this map is very affordable - its old-fashioned design makes it visually more interesting than just a regular world map, while at the same time it's a fun, recognizable theme for a room decorated with travel souvenirs and post cards on the walls (or any other room really). It's a standard poster shape and printed on good quality poster paper. Definitely a solid product!

I absolutely love this map. I bought it because I love traveling and I thought it would be fun to track where I've been and to see where else I'd like to go. It's a very nice addition to my room. I love that all the states in the U.S. are labeled, and I love that some (though not all) of the countries don't have their English names, but rather the name the people in the country actually call themselves. For example, finish people actually call their country by the name "Suomi" instead of Finland. However, if you were looking for this to have an antique FEEL, it definitely doesn't for it's simply a shiny poster print, but that doesn't matter to me because I just bought it for its look. :)

This is a really great map. I liked this one better than the other ones I saw online- because I like the antique style and that all of the major cities are labeled. I think this would work really well in an office, although I have mine in my room. I glued this poster to a piece of foam board, and then placed it in a black frame. I used a bunch of pins and marked all of the places I've been to. When people see my room- this poster is always commented on, everyone likes to look in close at the details and ask about the places I've been to. I would definitely recommend this map for travelers. Cons: I actually think this map is a bit too big for my room, so be sure to measure and see if the map fits properly.

The poster arrived in perfect condition and exactly as pictured. I don't know how accurate it is, since it is for decor only. I use to mark places I've been to or will travel to. It would be great if there was a boarder around the map. I bought a poster frame at a local craft store and unfortunately it was too small for the poster. I had to folder the edges of the poster to fit the frame. You would think that a poster size frame would fit a poster, but it doesn't. My only disappointment is Tonga, parts of Alaska, and such are covered by the frame. Great product, my complaint is that I was not able to find a reasonably priced frame that would display the entire map.

I have had this hanging in my house now for a year and a half, and I get questions regularly on where I got it! As a homeschool mom, I love that it is a mostly current map as I can still use it with my kids when talking about where things are happening in the world. It isn't totally up to date (I use it as a 'rough-idea' map and we look up the specifics online when needed), but the vintage style blends in with my decor much better than a regular school map would have! I framed mine in an old frame that I chalk-painted with a chevron fabric in the back. It is the perfect look for my den/playroom. This was a personal purchase for me at current retail price, without promise of review.
