I've contemplated buying a Flowbee for years. Every time I mentioned it I faced hilarious laughter from my wife. I did it anyway. That's right. I bought a Flowbee.It arrived and I unpacked the box. If Hillary Clinton had secured her emails in a package like the Flowbee arrived in she wouldn't be in the mess she's in. Seriously. It was well packed and everything arrived in good shape. All the contents were present.I read the instructions. Turns out, reading instructions can provide one with some really useful information.I followed the directions for selecting the right cutting guide, attached the Flowbee to a vacuum and went to town. Now, I'm not a slave to fashion or hair trends. My hair is basically the same as it was when it grew out long enough to cut after basic training in 1979. Standard, classic, short, military/conservative style is how I wear my hair.I have to say the Flowbee did an outstanding job. As good as I've had from many shops. I've only cut my hair once but the Flowbee lived up to the hype and advertising claims. It cut my hair evenly and, by following the instructions, I was able to blend the shorter hair on the sides with thelonger hair on the top. My only very minor complaint is that I can't cut the hair in the back and on the sides quite as short as I'd like. But it's close enough. A little help from my skeptical wife and some clippers had the back and sides cleaned up quickly.I paid more through Amazon over the Flowbee site because I fully expected I might return this and Amazon is stellar about that sort of thing. But I figure it will pay for itself in 6 months or so. Plus, I can give myself a quick trim any time I like. I'd frequently put off going to the barber until my hair was so long I just couldn't stand it any more. At about $20 a shot I'd stretch the time between cuts as long as I could. No more.I'm very pleased with the purchase and look forward to becoming more proficient with a few more cuts.Highly recommended.

Catastrophe, it's 9PM, I have been busy lately and found a few minutes to cut my hair as it had gotten so long it was bothering me. Pulled out my trusty Flowbee I have been using for almost 30 years and began. Cut all over to the long length, put on a shorter spacer to do the sides, one side done and the Flowbee quit cutting. Being a DIY guy I quickly took it apart and realized it was not repairable. Had to ask my wife to make emergency trim to at least look presentable. Ordered a new Flowbee before bed, finished the sides and around the ears 2 days later after delivery.Ordering a new Flowbee was a no brainer, cost was pretty much irrelevant. While I imagine I have saved a fortune over the years what I love about this device is convenience. 10-15 minutes whenever I think of it and I have a hair cut. For those who are interested these are the differences from the original and the new one.1. Head cutting unit is redesigned, there is no knob for turning the blade mechanism on the new one. That is OK as I never found a need for it.2. Cutting attachments are the same so the old ones fit fine.3. Power supply is smaller but cord is about 5 feet, old power supply cord is 12 feet. The new cord is too short for where I plug it in. Good news is the old power supply will work with the new unit.4. The new box is very small, difficult to get everything back in it. I moved everything into the old box as it works better for me.5. I paid 79.95 for the original, so the price has gone up a bit.One thing hasn't changed. When you tell someone you cut your own hair with a Flowbee you get a look, kind of a blank WHAAAAAAT? That is OK with me. Now is this one going to last 30 years?

I love this!! As a mom of 6 kids with 3 boys (4 daughters) counting my husband it is a lifesaver!! I used to spend hours cutting their hair freaking out I was going to ruin their haircut, babies screaming cuz they hated scissors and/or clippers and especially hair on their face or necks. Our boys are 4 and 1. Worrying our 1 year old would move - now I dont have to worry about that, no hair on the floors or them either! We save $60 a month on hair cuts. For our girls we use the CreaClip also off Amazon and save even more!! Thanks for an awesome product!!

Worked great until it didn't, the motor starts to cycle on and off, making it useless.

My third Flowbee. The greatest product to cut your own hair, and others. Simple, safe and length is always accurate. The money I have saved plus my time is worth every penny for the low cost of the Flowbee. First purchased it to trim our little dog who was barred from the groomer (4 different ones). She was not happy and was outright mean. So saw the Flowbee at the Del Mar Fair in the early 90's in San Diego, and bought the kit. Dang, it worked and she let us groom her. So I tried it on myself. As they say the rest is history. Would hate to have to ever live without my Flowbee.

I've been using a Flowbee for about 25 years for me and 15 and 8 years for my boys. This is my third one. The other two each lasted over 10 years. Between me and my two boys, those two Flowbees lasted through 500-1000 haircuts. We've literally saved THOUSANDS of dollars by using the Flowbee. And it's quick and easy. Rather than spending 30-60 minutes driving into town, waiting for an appointment, getting our hair cut, then driving home, it just takes minutes to get out the vacuum and Flowbee and cut your hair. It looks good and is consistent, too.

I never bother with writing reviews...but I am so impressed with Flowbee, I must share! My very first Flowbee hair cut not only impressed me, but also my sister, who used to cut hair for a living!!! I had looked on youtube for instructional videos for this product. I was a little worried because most of them showed someone else operating the device and I wanted to be able to give myself a haircut.Turns out I was able to do it myself with fantastic results!
