Lasts a long time, easily cleans metal.
I'm a blacksmith and this is the best bench grinder wire wheel for cleaning up metal before and after forging. Like any wire wheel, it will yank the work piece out of your hand if not careful.

Name brand reliability and very little shedding of wires
Awesome and worth the little extra vs no name wheels. Very stiff for heavy cleaning. FYI: Starts out roughly 3/4" wide but quickly fans up to an inch plus. I also purchased the dw4905 which starts out at 1" but fans out to nearly 1.5" and created to much drag hitting the housing and had to be taken off the grinder for the Dw4904.

Great quality
Doesn't fit every grinder. Installed this on another brand grinder. And the wires rub the sides of the casing to the point it drags the motor. But was a good value for the money. Nice thickness very durable and functional but on my brand I had to modify the case for it to work.

Good product, incorrect photo or description.
There is nothing wrong with the actual wire wheel. But there is a lot wrong with the way it’s advertised on Amazon. The photo is not a photo of the actual product. The photo claims the wire wheel to have a 6000 rpm limit but the actual product is 4000 rpm maximum. The ad does not provide a thickness measurement. I was looking for a 1” thickness. This wheel is slightly wider. Photos and descriptions matter!

Excellent quality, built tough, smooth and true rotation
I go through a lot of wire wheels in my shop and have learned that this one from DeWalt is head and shoulders above the rest. Excellent quality, built tough and runs smooth and true with zero vibration. Tip: For smoother, less agressive finishes on metal parts, use the side of the wire wheel.
