Amazing
The layout of this recipe book is very different to anything I have used before. Took me a few reads to get my head around that but it’s genuis!! Easy to use and the recipes are fabulous I would definitely recommend it.

Really disappointing book, badly laid out, impossible to follow
I really like these recipes and have used some that I found online. I thought that having the book would be helpful. The book was delivered today and I am so disappointed. It is set out in groups so ingredients for a number of recipes are given in a table and the method for all of them is given in one chunk. This means that one must sort out the method, leaving out sections that do not apply to what is being made. This adds complexity. Some of the ingredients are not included in the methods either. We have just put 'blondies' in the oven but the method did not state when the flax egg ought to be added to the mixture. If I were a less competent cook I would have been utterly flummoxed. This book is not recipes anyone can make, it is like trying to follow someone else's recipe notes. I would recommend sticking to the videos available online and avoiding this book.

In a different league to the rest of them
At quite a stale time where a lot of vegan recipes are all recycled between “Instagram chefs”, this book is a burst of fresh energy in the arena of food preparation and development. Completely original and unique in its format, Dave & Stephen deliver an entirely new way to approach recipes and cooking. Rather than “ telling” us what to do by way of just a recipe, they provide us with the thinking processes behind how to create amazing and original meals at home. Original, brave, courageous, bold and exciting. Well done, Stephen and Dave. This is my new favourite cook book. Such a breath of fresh air. This book is in an entirely different league to the rest of them!

Life-changing. Food will never taste the same!
I don’t normally give many reviews but this book is so amazing and the reviews don’t do it justice so I felt inclined to do so. I own dozens of vegan cookbooks, and this is by far the best, most comprehensive, and transformative cookbook. I don’t understand some reviews that don’t like the grid frameworks, these are genius as it teaches you the art of cooking. This book transforms you from a passive robotic recipe follower to a proactive chef in the kitchen that is not bound to exact recipes but is able to draw up magic from whatever ingredients are available due to a deeper understanding of the foundational aspects behind cooking. If you don’t want to have the best vegan cooking book in the market that teaches you the basics from A to Z (literally its so comprehensive), then don’t go for it. If you want the best and change your cooking skills for good, then I highly encourage you to give yourself this gift.

Vegan at 50 and learning to cook hubby
We’d tried several delicious Happy Pear recipes from the social media groups and enjoyed them. Making them WFPBNO by removing oil.Husband had began to get curious and involved more in cooking with Lockdown and since starting WFPBNO in February.Ordered the new book as part of his fiftieth birthday at beginning of August and so far he has made the basil and toasted veg bake p196 ( with homegrown tomato, pepper, chilli and aubergine) which was delicious and today he made as our 28th wedding anniversary dinner the creamy leek and potato pie ( page 242)Tomorrow we have guests and we will make the Mexican Burrito bowl and homemade salsa ( it’s not in the book but has featured on their FB page) we LOVE it and have found with homemade tortilla chips, homemade guacamole and a corn and cucumber salad. Guests don’t even notice we have turned them vegan for the evening 😂Lots of information and recipes and my husband might let me have a read at some point!Using local BIO veggies here in Albania and what we have grown so far in our garden :-)Two happily married and happily fed humans here!

Suddenly an empty fridge provides a tasty meal
This is a fantastic book. As an owner of 5 different vegan cook books I am very delighted to find this the easiest to follow. The structure of the book is fantastic - if you are rushing you don’t even need to read the full recipe, re read long steps, find your last step after returning to the book etc. Because it’s so easy to follow the amount I have to wash up is very minimal, usually my kitchen looks like a no mans land after my culinary adventures. It seems to REALLY not require special ingredients, no extra shop runs etc. I have used this continuously for breakfast lunch and dinner and it was the most delightful and efficient kitchen experience I had in a while.Thank you
