Flip Up Iron Sights - BUIS Flip Up Sights Rail Mounted - Front and Rear Sight Set

Wanted an inexpensive set of metal backup sights for a plinking rifle (didn't want plastic sights) so for $30/pair I took a chance on these. They appear to be aluminum and surprisingly quite well made for the price. Bases are solid and and overall construction is very good. They are a bit heftier than I expected, not necessarily a bad thing. There is no wobble when sights are deployed (raised). Sights are spring-loaded, so push the button & they pop up and lock. Then push the button and manually push the sight back down where they again lock in the down position. The front sight I got was perfect - no issues. The rear sight, however, was badly canted to the side when tightened onto the rail. The sight base was not machined correctly. OK, for the price I never expected "Tier 1" quality sights, but I do expect them to line up straight. I contacted the seller via Amazon (email) one evening around 9PM, included a few pics of the crooked sight mounted to the gun & hoped for a reply within a day or two. WRONG! I literally got a reply back within 10 minutes from the seller!!! Awesome! They apologized for the issue, asked for a few more details and promised to send a replacement rear sight out the next day - and they did. Three days later I had the new rear sight, mounted it and it was as nice & straight as the front. Product problems happen, but the customer service of Ozark Armament was OUTSTANDING! Kudos to them. The only real gripe I have with these sights is that the adjustment knob for the rear has no detectable detents when adjusting. There is some resistance/stiffness when turning, but no solid "click" lock the adjustment. Time will tell if this will be a problem, but for now I just put a small dab of paint on the knob & sight tower so I can visually see if the alignment shifts. Wouldn't hesitate to order again for another plinker/range toy.

I just got these mounted and I'm very happy with them. The machining, construction and paint quality are all excellent. The flip-up mechanism works flawlessly and they lock into place when up, requiring the actuator to be pressed in order to return them to the downward position - which means that they remain secure when you want them.Their quality is immensely better than the polymer sights that I was using and I will be purchasing another set.I will never use polymer again, after mounting these. These are my go-to sights from now on. Thank you Ozark Armament!!

Seemingly made of high quality material. Love that its machined metal and not moulded plastic. Retaining pins lock into place well once the sights are deployed. Easy to install, and sleek enough, not too bulky. Good visibility and ease of sight view in quick drawing. I have no complaints other than it DOES NOT COME WITH A WINDAGE ADJUSTMENT TOOL & IS NOT SPRING LOADED TO DEPLOY THE SIGHTS. Otherwise, its a great buy.

DEFINITELY MY FAVORITE IRON SIGHTS. ESPECIALLY FOR THE MONEY JUST GIVE THEM A TRY I PROMISE YOU WILL LOVE THEM SOLID METAL IRON SITES. I CAN'T SAY IT ENOUGH. JUST GIVE THEM A TRY IT AINT GONNA BRAKE YOUR BANK.. THE BEST OF THE BEST MY OPINION AND A LIFE TIME WARRANTY.

Just got everything put together.The sites are very well made and I couldn't be more pleased.The only irons sites I will by from here onThanks guys.JJ

2 stars instead of 1 because they ARE usable sights and they DO fit on a rail, 3 because they are super cheap, but there is an unbelievable amount of wobble. The holding machanism is as you might expect, a couple of spring loaded ball bearings that push into a groove. That's all well and good except they put nowhere near enough pressure on the grooves to actually hold them steady, and both of them wobble an easy 3-5 degrees with zero pressure while upright. They actually are more steady when they are folded down, somehow. If you just need two pieces of metal to point the gun forward though, these are good to go.

I’ve purchased the red dot site previously and it has worked great on my first ar build so I purchased it again along with the iron sights for my current build.

I had to borrow a tube of Super Glue, from the office at the range, to keep the rear sight from popping up every round. I called the vendor and left a message…no response. Spend your money somewhere else, these are cheap Chinese garabage.
