Persevere!
Wasn't impressed with this board to begin with- stable distro's supplied by the maker were flaky, to say the least! Armbian distro was, as usual, stable and understands the availability of the eMMC on board ( a la Orangepie) and can transfer the o/s to that board, however VNC installs are impossible on that distro (critical for my chosen software environment)! I thought that this SBC would join the other (non-raspberry) boards in the "useless" pile however, after a close encounter with an exceptionally poor hardware offering (Libre "Le potato"), I had discovered their Raspbian distro which fits the VIM2 (you will need to provide a usb wifi dongle, a pain with only 2 usb ports) however the o/s is stable and the speed is similar, if not superior, to a PI 4, where available RAM is not a major requirement of the app! Revelation!
