Crock-Pot SCCPVL610-R-A, 6 Qt, Red

I love, love, LOVE this Crockpot! My previous Crockpot was a 5 qt and it was round, which made it difficult to slow cook a rack of ribs in. They just never quite fit properly. With this bigger oval shape, I can easily fit two racks in without having to cut them down. The best thing about this particular Crockpot to me has to be the color of the crock. My old crock was white and was all scratched inside from utensils and marks from burnt-on foods were difficult to get off. The black of this crock is awesome in that I can't see any of that. :) My only concern with the unit I received is that it wasn't in the original box so I was afraid it was used or reconditioned. I still don't know for sure but it appeared to be brand new and it's working fine so far so I'm a happy camper.(P.S. If you've never cooked ribs in the Crockpot, you're missing out. Just stick'em in there, pour in a can of Coke, and let'em cook for a few hours. When they're close to falling off the bone, I put them on a cookie sheet and either put them on the grill for a few minutes or stick them under the broiler, smothered in BBQ sauce - which has to be Sweet Baby Ray's. To DIE for, I swear!)

So, my other Crockpot lasted for 19 years, but the cord was showing wear, so I had to replace it. We bought this one. It is nice having a digital timer. I have used it three times so far. So.....a few things:1) The top is not glass like my old one, so it fits differently, which isn't bad I guess, just different.2) Maybe it's just me, but it seems to be hotter than my last one, but that may be because my other one was 19 years old.Overall....I am happy with it. Oh....and love the color because it matches my kitchen.

My favorite things about this Crock Pot are the timer and the color. I can set the time and the pot will cook that long and then switch automatically to "warm" to keep the food warm. The interior crock comes out for cleaning. The lid locks, but I haven't used that feature since I haven't traveled with it to a meal. The crazy thing is my recipes call for a 4.5 gt. Crock Pot and they don't make that size. So, this one seems really big for some recipes.

I love basically everything about this crockpot!The lid has a rubber seal so it keeps food warmer and safer when transporting. I found out the hard way just how well it holds up when I had to slam on my breaks to avoid an errant driver and the crockpot slid across my back seat, tipping over a bit, but nothing came out.I no longer have to worry about over cooking food since I can program it to turn off the high heat when I'm still at work.The color (I got red), is fun, very metallic, and almost a dark fuschia.It was super easy to figure out and I didn't need to read a complicated manual or view a video on how to make it work.At 6 quarts, it holds a sizable meal, such as a big pot roast or a whole chicken. I was able to double my pork loin recipe and have freezable leftovers.And the price is amazing! The other comparable slow cookers are usually twice as much.

I'm not a fan of the electronic tempature guages, I mean what's wrong with the dial. The dial never breaks.Also the lid suction us great, but seems low quality. Everything about this crockpot screams it will need to be replaced in 2 years.

Not quite as expected, but the seller emailed me to let me know it would be slightly different than what I originally ordered. I asked if it was red, programmable, and min. 6qt. I was told yes, and then given the option to get my money back or continue with the other product. I continued on with the different product. It arrived on time, but I should have asked for my money back because while it is programmable, it's really only settable. My own fault and shouldn't reflect on that of the seller. The box of the item even says programmable, but you can only set it for low or high and then time options of 4/6hrs and 8/10hrs. Then it automatically switches to warm after the set time. What I wanted was ability to turn it on at a certain time and program it for any time up to 23hrs. Oh well, live and learn. It's still a great crockpot.

I just missed my return date by 3 days. We tried the unit, to make beans and ham hocks. The outside of the unit gets way to HOT to touch. The unit proceeded to get HOTTER TOTHE TOUCH. What a piece of junk. I had to remove my cats from the area, I was afraid that they could get burned. You guys should look at my unit, you can have it for FREE. Maybe there are more SUPER HOT UNITS OUT THERE AND I DO NOT MEAN THE COLOR. SUPER DISAPPOINTED.

So I bought this to replace a giant, old one I had that finally pooched. I was super impressed the first time I used it. I put a whole chicken in it and it came out delicious. Made stew in it yesterday and had great results again. The temperature seems to stay really consistent and I love that it has an auto warm feature when the timer runs out. It's super easy to clean and I love the red colour!

Love this crock pot. We needed to replace our last one that cracked all the way through the middle (not sure why) after 11.5yrs of use. This new one works similar but has some add one, like the gripping lid, digital timer and new warm setting. It's also a bit bigger, maybe we had 4qrts before. The only downside is that there is a stream release hole in the lid which impacts the time required to cook, takes longer.

We bought this one to replace an identical one that the wires shorted out on. Very happy with it, they get lots of use in our house, at least 3 times a week.

I purchased this Crock-Pot to replace one I’ve owned for years. I was hoping for better. It does not hold its heat enough to cook the food. I hope it’s just something I am doing wrong. Any suggestions would be great!
