T-REX Ferociously Strong Tape, Mighty Rolls, 1 Inch x 10 Yards Each, Dark Gunmetal Gray, Case of 9 Rolls (241330)

This is an excellent duct tape, definately out performs standard duct tapes. I am in the process of remodeling a bathroom and had to bust out some of the ceramic tiles in the shower so I could determined if a plumbing vent line was inside the stud wall. As an experiment, I orded T-REX duct tape to see if it would repair the hole in the ceramic tile and remain water proof so the shower could be used until it was time to demolish the bathroom. The hole that I knocked in the shower wall was approximately 6 to 8 inches wide and 9 to 11 inches high. As a test of the adhesives stiction properties, the ceramic tiles were not cleaned of shower soap and shampoos. The tape was applied starting from the bottom of the hole with each strip overlaping the prior one by approximately 1/2-inch to assure a good water tight seal. The tape extended past the sides of the hole by approximately 1-inch of T-REX duct tape. Each tape was applied such that there were no wrinkles or creases where that tape contaced the ceramic tiles and and overlaping layer of T-REX duct tape. I used my hand to press and smooth the tape to insure good adhesion and hopefully a water tight seal. I did not all any set time before testing the repair. I used a Water Pick hand held shower head that was connected to the water supply by a braided hose. Water was sprayed from all directions up, down, and side to side using the highed pressure settings. The water temperatrue was varied from cold to hot. Water was sprayed for a long enough time to insure that any water leaks would have been visible below the shower stall and stud wall as seen between the floor joists below the bathroom. Absolutely no leaks! The tape was applied to other surfaces both smooth and rough with excellect adhesion to the surfaces I tested. T-REX is excellent for making high integrity repairs the first time! The slightly higher cost for the is easily justified because it just works!

I never heard of T-REX tape before I bought this. In fact I accidentally added this to my cart thinking it was Gorilla Tape. Was way cheaper, so I decided to try it out. I am very familiar with Gorilla Tape. What I can say is it seems to be a heck of a lot more heavy duty than any duct tape I've ever seen. You can rip a piece of it off the role with no problem. Unlike Gorilla, where you have to use scissors or a knife. So, that's either a good or a bad thing. Means it's easier to work with but probably not quite as heavy duty as Gorilla. For me personally, I prefer a tape I can easily rip a piece off without a problem. So this is my new tape of choice.

I purchased this tape for when the hinges break on those plastic hard drive cases (I'm up to an archive of over 30 drives now, and those lids always breal, I use the tape to make a new hinge on 'em). Works fine for that, but... my tape story:Upstairs hot water heater pooped the bed. I ran a hose from the heater drain to a spot I could snake it outside - let it drain for a while, came in to find 1/4" water on the floor; the hose was old and had split open. The heater is in my old-school photography darkroom, I threw a large printing tray under it and expected to be bailing the tray for the next hour. Grabbed the tape and started wrapping the hose as tight as I could. And I'll be damned, it sealed up the wet house like a champ. After 30 minutes or so a few drips worked their way through, but the tray caught that and I got the heater drained and mopped up the mess. Pretty impressive for an emergency repair and saved me a big nightmare of bailing water. It's good stuff.

The tape is the best I’ve ever used....but it is imperative that you first clean it (where you are putting the tape) with isopropyl or 70% rubbing alcohol....just clean alcohol with nothing added.Use clean rags...I used this tape to beef up a 16 guage pvc tarp to put over my deck....to keep the sun and rain off...Strengthens much better then eyes on tarp the eyes are fairly weak with the tape and clamps you can pull tarp taught , without ripping or pulling the eyes out....buy it and try it for yourself...I recommend it....mechanic and technician for 40 years

I got this all-weather tape to repair our (high-end) out-door volleyball net. After 3 months of sun, wind and rain, the tape is holding fast and looks as good as new. No other tape that I've used (duct, gorilla, PVC, etc) has held up even remotely as well.

A really strong bond. You will need to use extra muscle than other duct tape, but it works. Works so well it wants to stay on the roll and keeps my fingers stuck to it too.We put a few layers of tape over the cracks in a fiberglass shower floor for a temporary fix a few weeks ago. So far, with daily use, it is holding up really well.

This tape is so sticky it is very difficult to separate from the roll (not recommended for those with arthritis in hands). Put the roll down for a few seconds, and it will stick to the surface. Try cutting it with scissors, and it will stick to them and require more effort to cut through. It's adhesive is way more aggressive than normal duct tape. It seems like a good substitute for normal duct tape, if what you're using has not maintained its position, but it's practically a two-man job to use it!

I needed it for a plexiglass / metal project and it was put on pressing down all sides carefully as I saw in a video to get the most out of the adhesive. But sadly the next day it all was hanging off the metal so I had to put duck tape over the T-REX tape edges to get it to work..

As it says in the description, this tape is mega strong! I've currently got it fixing a seal in my bathroom.There is only one downside... the strength of the adhesive is so strong it's hard to get it off when/if you remove the tape; which leads to some nasty glue stains. So far I've found that more tape can help lift old adhesive, but I may need to invest in some proper anti-adhesive cleaning fluid. I advise not to use this on upholstery or carpets or you'll never get it off!

Whoa! Talk about tough. This has got to be the stickiest and toughest tape out there. It really does what it says on the packet. Highly recommended for anyone who needs a roll of instant fix in the garage.

This stuff is fantastic. So far I've stopped a garage roof from leaking and patched a hole in an air bed with this stuff and it seems to be asking me "is that the worst you can do?" Good tape!

Other than Gorilla Tape this is the best I've used, we used it on our children's garden set to covers cracks and even to cover holes in our family pool 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I’ve never purchased this item before but after using it recently, I’d most probably only use T Rex in the future! This tape is extremely strong, it rips off the roll superbly, it’s adhesive properties are amazing and it’s great value for money! There’s loads of tape on the roll and it comes in a choice of colours and thicknesses! It’s a bloke thing but in your tool box you always have the essentials like a screwdriver, tape measure and Stanley Knife and now you should have T Rex tape! Genuinely it is very good! I’ve already recommended it to my dad. I can truly understand how you could stick a human to a wall with this stuff now that I’ve used it! It’s waterproof properties are really very good also! Good stuff indeed!
