These combs have been living up to their description and then some. When the first arrived I expected a break-in period before the real fun began, but ohhhh boy was I wrong. As soon as I ripped open the bubble-mailer the jokes started pouring out by the dozen.At first it was just little comments about how bad my hair looked in the morning. Things like, "hey bed-head time for a comb." Perhaps it's the resilience of the carbon fiber, but after a few days the teasing reached a whole new level. What was once fun-and-games turned into more serious comments like, "maybe if you started taking care of your hair with as much attention as you give the lawn people wouldn't mind sitting next to you on the bus."It's not just the teasing that makes this product bar-none, the cutting comb has really changed my entire outlook on life. Since unboxing that sucker I've used it to help cut off most--if not all--of the members within my social circle. They don't much like it when I dip the comb in their beer to signal they might have had too much to drink but it sure does the trick.Honestly life has been pretty bleak since I received these combs...I've lost practically all that mattered to me but it's caused a change in perspective, and at the very least, my hair is on fleek.

I normally wouldn't review a $4 comb but I almost didn't buy this b/c of the negative reviews. My advice - only read the 5 star reviews & risk a few bucks & buy this... Negative reviews claim it's not real carbon fiber - I have no way of knowing without destroying the item (& neither do the other reviewers) - it's a VERY STURDY comb - that's all I need to know... Other reviews complain about the smell - unless you grind it into powder & shove it up your nose, there is NO ODOR... Others said it was too sharp - there is no way this comb is too sharp... Others say it beaks easily - I can't imagine this comb breaking in normal use... Others said it was too big - that is not the fault of the comb - if you don't need a comb this size order a smaller one... The comb is VERY nice, very sturdy & probably the best comb I've ever purchased - risk a few bucks & see for yourself !!!

After reading the description, I decided that this was indeed a sturdy comb. I have cut my husband’s hair one time, using an old pr of office supply scissors, a nose trimmer combo thing and my fingers. OMG! He really liked it. He said I could cut his hair all the time, and I was considerably cheaper than barber shop...zero paid. I said if I had the correct supplies I think I could do a much better job. So, this is where amazon.com came in. People our age are advised to stay inside. So, I ordered the works. Everything has come except the clippers and neck brush. So, I have not had a chance to use the comb or the scissors I ordered. The comb looks like it will standup to a few droppings on the floor...remember I’m a beginner. The seller was great to work with. No problems whatsoever. I’m sure I will enjoy using the comb. There are a couple of cheap or free combs around the house but the teeth are always falling out. I don’t think I will have that problem with this one. Can’t wait til my other supplies get here to try everything out.

Don't let all the 4 1/2 stars and photos with graphics trick you.I'm assuming many of the 4-5 star reviews may be bogus.This comb looks and feels like one that should come in a 50 pack for $9.99No logo, rigid hard plastic, not flexible, cheap.Sure it will get the job done but given the price and reviews and self-claims I assumed it was going to be the best black plastic comb I had ever owned.How on earth it got 4 1/2 stars and sells for $5.99 is beyond me.I showed my wife and we both got a good laugh out of it.

Had never seen or used a comb like the “black carbon fiber cutting comb”. This is a fabulous comb and I don’t expect to ever purchase another comb. This is a seriously great comb. Not sure how they are able to make such a high quality comb and still offer them for sale at such a reasonable price. Do your self a favor, buy one. You won’t regret the purchase. I have straight hair with very little body - but that definitely doesn't mean I don't get tangles! I get tangles all the time! I use these combs when my hair is wet with the leave-in conditioner. They easily separate my hair from the tangles and makes my hair easier to style once it is dry. Which is what I definitely need. I also use them when cutting my hair and the one with the point for parting my hair when cutting or for when shaping into braids.

OK, they're combs, but they're good combs, solid and lengthy. It's a nice pairing of coarse and fine on one, and a nice reach on the other. They appear to be pretty durable, and don't cost an arm and a leg or require you to buy a big stack of them to get a fair price. After all, who needs six or eight combs, anyway. These are money well spent, and a fair value.

Basic yet reliable combs. They are not scratchy like other similar ones. The quality is decent overall. What you see is what you get.
