Super cool!
My son is wanting to try his hand at forging. We got this for his birthday. When he opened it, he was so excited he wanted to start immediately.

Well Made and works very well
Burner is more powerful than I had assumed it would be. Heats quickly and appears to be quite fuel efficient. I'm quite pleased.

This forge works very well. Its not real big which works for me, I'm only making knife's with it.

A great way to waste propane.
I was anticipating being able to attach the propane tank and get to forging. Unfortunately after 4 attempts so far, the forge will not reach a white hot forging glow. It may be able to resist 2600 degrees, but it can't get there so far. I was hoping this mini forge would be get me into a fun hobby, but I may need to sell it and get something made for actual blacksmithing.

Mine may be damaged
Update it leaks where the hose and regulator meet so I have to replace both. My parents got this for me for Christmas and I saw the spot on the back of the burner and that the insulation doesn't line up exactly and I don't know if that's normal and safe to use so if you could contact me to let me know one way or the other or should my parents try to exchange it so for now I have to give it a one star

Not enough heat for outdoor use
Hopefully you’ll be luckier than me.Easy to put together but after 2 wks of looking at advice on forging blogs re propane-O2 mixes & gas flow rates, getting added fire bricks to decrease internal volume & blocking off the back and reducing the front with kaowool there’s still no sign of any steel getting anywhere close to a any red.Contacted the company at their web site but never got an answer.Last shot before I accept it’s been a waste of $400 will be to double the lining from 1->2”. After that if I’m out of luck it’ll be back to charcoal and forced air or my kiln. Take away lesson…these aren’t plug and play.
