Queen Brass Flugel Horn Brass Finish Bb Pitch W/Hardcase Mp Brass Fluglehorn Gold

I bought this instrument for personal use to learn to play a flugelhorn. I used to play trumpet many years ago and wanted to try another instrument. I recieved the horn from India. The case was damaged and the horn had scratches all over the bell. The valves stuck and the interior of the Bell was loaded with construction debris. The tuning extension for the mouthpiece keep sliding out of the tuning position. The Seller did work with me on some of the issues but the horn was never completely repaired.

The valves are very hard to press down even after I cleaned the grit and oil left behind from the factory, and oiling it. But it is a good instrument for the amount of money paid. The corks on the spit valves are a bit excessively large and there is a strange odor that comes off the instrument

My first - and probably last – brass instrument. Being more of a reed player It was a reasonable expense for my curiosity.

I found out that the reason I could not get the 1staying value off was because the weather here in the USA on the Eastern sea board that is the Northeast in the Boston and New York and the New Hampshire area was cold --10 degrees below 0 degrees. When the temperature got above 0 the valve on my horn became free. I am not going to return the horn ;it is a great horn after I cleaned the horn it works very well. I will have many years of playing the horn.

I wouldn't recommend this flugel for any real playing. I found that it hardly played in the key of Bb. Intonation was way off the mark. I understand that this is not a professional model or price but I do expect a flugelhorn to meet the basic playing needs, regardless of price. I could not ship it back because the shipping out of country costs more than the instrument itself. Spend a little more and have peace of mind.

Good quality horn for a very reasonable price. I did speak to their customer service because I really thought the horn I received must have cost more than what I paid. Customer service was very kind and knowledgeable.

This flugelhorn is amazing. The valves aren't of the highest quality and the springs are kind of flimsy, but overall I would highly suggest buying this instrument for the price.

Bought for my daughter for Christmas. She took to school band and horn never worked. Sounded like air was restricted. Asked to return but they say past return time line. Junk horn.
