I love this curling iron. I have had trouble finding one that is easy to use and has a decent barrel size. And heats up nicely. I have owned one like this before, but lost it. This was worth replacing. I have difficulty with larger barrel sizes because my hair is not long enough in the places where I need the curve. My hair will not respond unless wrapped around a barrel small enough in circumference, but not too big. Hence, the curve works with my fine hair, which will not be smooth enough in a larger-barrel curling iron unless I use additional styling tools—double damage.Unless you want more bells and whistles, you will be happy with this good-quality item. It is basic, with the on/off functions showing, and you need to make sure to turn it off.If you want to gift something, you might find it cost-effective to pair it with other hair products, like a heat styling leave-in product and clips to keep the hair sectioned like they do in the salons. I must use Amazon's gift delivery service because I live far from my loved ones.This is cost-effective and a tried-and-true method that still has a place in today's world. This is a product you can use carefully, yet you don't have to worry about the smell unless you push it with too much heat or products that aren't meant for heat styling. The speed and average temperature are easy. It will hold up well if you have the type of heart that usually responds. My hair is not straight and has a bit of natural wave. Though if you have straight hair, I think the medium barrel, or smaller one, will work well, especially with hair products for the body. For me this has great hold.Enjoy!

I ordered this curling iron because it’s the same kind that I had before, but it bit the dust.I keep ordering these curling irons because they really work great on my hair. They don’t burn my hair and I can curl it or straighten it with the 1 inch barrel perfectly. It heats up really fast. It’s lightweight and it makes my hair smooth or curly whichever I choose it to be. The thing is they don’t last but a few years at a time and I have to order another one. I won’t try another brand because I just really love the way this one works on my hair.I have medium length brown hair with a lot of silver and gray in it and this curling iron works great on my fine hair.

I have been using this curling iron for several year.....It is a great product and perfect for how I style my hair. HOWEVER, plast two purchases seemed lacking in the sturdiness of the arm: both within a short time of using it. The black part of the iron (which you push down to open the iron and insert your hair between, has broken twice) The iron can no longer used as there no longer the plastic covering on the thumb area of the iron. Once causing me to burn my thumb, ouch ! I have to order or purchase new irons several times. I am taking a chance by orderin this one more time with hopes that the this portion has been thickened or improved. The iron itself is easy to use and has done the best job on my hair which always results in compliments. Thus, I'm taking another chance that the new iron will not fall apart. Your product is great except the blace area where the finger is placed. I still have faith in your products but am order this new one with hesitation. I will follow up at a later date.

I am impressed with this Conair Instant Heat curling iron. The heat up is only 30 seconds just as fast as advertised. The iron is lightweight and easy to use.I purchased the 1 1/2 inch barrel for my shoulder length hair to achieve loose flowing curls and it works well. It has 25 heat settings so you can use as little or as much heat as you need to avoid damage to your hair. This unit also has a turbo option which allows you to use lower heat while wrapping the hair and a burst of heat to achieve the curl once the iron is in place. The one thing that would make this curling iron better would be a slightly longer power cord. The power cord is a little short making it inconvenient if you don't have an outlet at the right height. But over all a great product.

Love this curling iron! Mine from high school 10 years ago died and this was the exact one. It heats up fast works well and is hands down my favorite way to curl my hair. Good length barrel and there is no smell as reported by others.

Made in China. Haven’t used yet, but purchased because Amazon’s AI said it was NOT made in China. Too often, it seems like the AI tries to hide or deflect the truth (or in this case, give a completely wrong statement) about country of origin. If Amazon, or product companies, are ashamed of where their products are manufactured, maybe they should fix it instead of hide it.

I would buy this again it is worth the money and it is good quality products 👌 I really recommend this product.
