Unless I'm missing something...and I was...
EDIT: so I had to read the instructions online because what's on the bottle is useless. For an 8-oz bottle it does not have enough space to have directions with a picture that mean anything. When I found them online I learned something new. I didn't know that a basic tube for a bicycle had a valve core. In the 30 some odd years that I have been fixing bikes I have never known this. It would be nice if this was emphasized on the packaging rather than showing a generic twist and turn with a couple of arrows that pretty much don't show what you're taking out of the tire. It would have saved me a whole lot of trouble. Upped the review to five stars because it literally does work almost instantly and I had no trouble getting home after only a few minutes of spinning the tire and letting it sit. Really is quite an awesome formula and I don't know why I didn't know about this earlier.Completely useless. Unless I'm missing something and they're supposed to be more to the so-called "tool"other than it being just a cap, then it is useless. For one if it's supposed to be a tool then why is it sealed off at one end? How is the slime supposed to pass through? Can't just use the tube because there's no pressure on the valve to let air through. And if these are made for only valve stem tubes, it should be specifically listed on the product description and on the bottle. Now that I actually need to use it I can't. So I have to walk a mile and a half with my bike in hand, all the way to my job. Thank you for probably being one of the most undependable pieces of equipment I have bought for my bike. I am genuinely ticked off.

Works! (Maybe a little too well.)
I bike about 5-6 miles nearly every day. Last year I had three or four flats in just a few days because the rear tire on my bike wore thin. After replacing the tire, I added Slime to both inner tubes. And then I went eight months without a flat or even a leak. But my front tire, the original cheap factory-installed tire, is wearing out. As I was riding today, I suddenly heard "POP! HISSSSSS....sssss...sss..." and then silence. The front tire had been punctured. But sure enough, the Slime sealed the hole so fast that the tire only lost a few pounds of pressure. I rode the rest of the way home, about a mile, with no problems.I decided to find the hole and put a patch over it, just in case. (It was quite easy to locate, since it had a tiny green bead of Slime to mark it.) However, I promptly discovered the drawback to using Slime. I couldn't get the inner tube to deflate completely. No air was escaping through the now-plugged leak, and holding the valve open only deflated the tire halfway. I tried to remove the valve core to get the rest of the air out, but I twisted and twisted and twisted it to no avail. Apparently the Slime blocked the valve so the core wouldn't come out and neither would the rest of the air. In other words, the Slime did exactly what it was supposed to do--it flowed toward a spot where air was leaking out, in this case the open valve, and sealed it off. Unfortunately, that highly effective Slime left me struggling to get the tire off the wheel, and once it was finally off, I couldn't get it back on. I eventually gave up and replaced the inner tube, even though the old one had only a tiny hole. (Yeah, I probably should have left well enough alone and never tried to patch it in the first place.)So...it's a tradeoff. My front inner tube lasted eight months with Slime, even though the tire itself is worn, and the rear inner tube with a newer tire is still going strong. But once I removed that Slimed inner tube, I couldn't reuse it.But I don't care. Months on end without a flat is worth having to replace a six-dollar inner tube. I'm back on Amazon for a new front tire and another bottle of Slime. It works!UPDATE, 3/30/2014: After a little more research and experimenting, I've discovered that you can remove the valve core and completely deflate a Slimed tire if you use a REAL valve core remover tool, not the cheapo flimsy plastic thing in the Slime bottle cap. These work about 200% better than the Slime bottle cap, and the smaller one takes up negligible space in your bike tool kit: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BQHABMS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

This stuff is amazing!!
I used it to fix my tire and it works just as described. A few weeks later, I drove over a thorn that went right through the tube. I pulled it out, It made a little hissing sound and then sealed itself up again! that was almost a year ago!!! Not only does it fix current leaks, but it also fixes the future ones!!!!

I've used SLIME for years. Recently decided that FLAT-OUT is the better product.
I've been a bicyclist and electric scooter rider for 20+ years. Adding some form of anti-flat tire sealant to pneumatic air-filled and tubes tires is a MUST.I've used SLIME brand for YEARS. Always a good price and it DOES seem to do a decent job of repairing small punctures. However, I recently had a few months of hell concerning flat tires. Really bad luck that resulted in lots of flats. I'm sure all riders know what I'm talking about and have had those kinds of months. The frustrating part was that my SLIME filled tubes didn't seem to help or prevent my flats.I began to wonder if there was something better, and settled on FLAT-OUT. I'm not giving a fully negative review to SLIME, because it does seem to work - for the most part. But, SLIME usually guarantees flat protection for 2 years, while FLAT-OUT guarantees protection for the life of the tire. My experience shows that having SLIME in your tires is better than not having it, but having FLAT-OUT in your tires will give you a bit more protection. Not a bad option, but do your research before settling on anti-flat sealant.

Love it.
I use an E-bike regularly to get to work and I get a lot of flats. This product has saved me hundreds of dollars in the long run. I doubted it at first, but it really works long term. Definitely will continue to support this company.
