Don't pick the cheapest option
Even though Amazon's shipping is TRASH as they of course shipped this in an unpadded bag and it came smashed, retrobit is the clear choice for retro accessories. This item works flawlessly and no interference noise is detected as is the case with cheaper options. Spend and extra couple bucks and enjoy a quality product!

Replacement Adapter
I purchased this power adapter for a replacement for my kids game. The adapter works good, I haven’t had any problems with it not working. I am very satisfied with this purchase. It’s worth the money!

Nostalgia kick, here I come!
I bought this in hopes of reviving my old Super Nintendo. I have been putting off getting a new ac adapter, in the fear of getting one that doesn't work (I have read a lot of different negative reviews from various adapters). Finally, I decided to give this one a try. I was a little nervous when I first held it. Much, much lighter than the original old ac adapter that could pass for a dumbbell, I thought that it would be a dud. Got even more nervous when it didn't work right away after hooking up the game system. But of course, it had collected some dust over the years, so I figured it was just the system. Sure enough, after a few tries, it fired right up! I have been using it for about a week now, has been working great! I'm not certain how it works on the original Nintendo or Genesis yet, I will keep this updated! Thank you!

Good for the SNES, but NES and Genesis applications are limited
The pros - it works as intended and will power up a Gen1 Genesis (says "HD Graphics" on the top), original SNES and NES. The power output is identical to my factory SNES power adapter. It is also the same voltage for a Gen1 Sega CD unit (drawer type). On the NES and SNES I saw no issues while powering any games I attempted with it. It is lighter weight because it is a modern power converter, and will not heat up like the classic units. It would have been nice if they had made it a smaller brick. The cons - it is NOT enough power for later generation Gen1 Genesis titles. While older titles (Sonic 1, Columns, Streets of Rage) power up fine, it struggles to give enough juice to handle later titles (such as Sonic 3). If purchasing to use with a Gen1 Genesis there are much better options, including a RetroDC solution which can power the Genesis, SegaCD and 32x off a single wall outlet. It is also providing DC power, which is not what the original NES used for power service. The original NES adapter used 9VAC output, instead of 9VDC. This will not damage the unit, but be aware that it's not the exact same power output as an original unit.

ZERO STARS! Embarassingly Bad Inadequate Power Supply
If I could give this Zero stars, I would. While it may *TECHNICALLY* work for a short while... due to the insufficient current, I can say this unit with it's poor design will be taxed to the point rapid failure, or even potentially becoming a fire hazard (absolutely no UL or other safety certifications I could find), let alone damaging your vintage console. I would describe the circuit design as horrible and inadequate and a great way to permanently damage your vintage console. I won't bore you with the nitty gritty electronics details of what makes the design bad, especially for vintage equipment, but I will say this: I refuse to even test this power supply to even verify it produces power, let alone connect one of my systems to it. OEM SNES Power Supply: 10v 850mA output. This Aftermarket Garbage: 9v 350mA output. (not enough voltage, not enough current) It's mostly air inside which explains a lot because I bet this circuit gets hot as hell, and needs to dissipate that heat somewhere. Let this serve as a reminder that you should track down (or refurbish) an original OEM supply if at all possible. These cheap after market power supplies just don't cut it. Additionally, there is another "gut shot" picture posted by By amazon user Borano on Nov 17, 2019... and you can compare his pictures to mine, and see that the quality of this supply has gone even further downhill (his power supply actually has full-wave rectification and some additional minimal protection, unlike mine). AVOID THIS RETRO POWER SUPPLY AT ALL COSTS!!!

Works Great, dont know why it got bad reviews
I got the Retro-bit "Super Retro" Ac adapter that is compatible with nes, snes, and genesis 1. There is two plug-in cables running off of it, one for nes/snes and one for sega genesis model 1. Before i tried the adapter with my SNES (that i NEEDED a power cable for a long time for), I used my multimeter to test the voltage,(because i read some of the other reviews of the product running at 15v) and it ran just over 9 volts (which it is suppose to be at) on both plugs. So i tried it on my SNES and it just worked fine, no whining or humming, or overheating so far (like some of the other reviews said) and i have played for a few hours. Idk why these other people were having trouble, but there adapters must have got broken in the mail, or they got different adapters. This one is really light in weight compared to the original SNES adapter, but seems to function the same for the SNES, and im sure it would work just fine on the Genesis, and nes also. Very happy with my purchase over all.
