Temptation: Goodnight Kiss; Goodnight Kiss 2; "The Vampire Club"

Two well written vampire books and one short novella.
Fear Street is my favorite and my first love into reading. R. L. Stine drew me in from his first book I picked up. Halloween party had me from the first page. Now temptation put two book I've been looking for together Goodnight Kiss one and two a long with a bonus. I fell in love with R. L Stine all over again. I couldn't wait for a new fear Street book so I began reading goosebumps while waiting for a new installment of feat Street. I will read anything he writes for now on.

So much fun!
This omnibus has the Goodnight Kiss duology PLUS a short story at the end that I don’t think has been published anywhere else before. It was fun!---Goodnight Kiss:We start off the book with this couple, and we think one character is a vampire, but then there was this really fun plot twist! Then two vampires make a bet to see who can turn a human into a vampire first. I really enjoyed this game Gabri and Jessica played and the way they tried to sabotage each other... it was so fun!Our other main characters, the humans, are April, her boyfriend Matt, and his friend Todd. Basically, Matt is the one who sees that his best friend and girlfriend are acting weird and he sort of tries to save them. This book was so much fun! Which surprised me because I'm not super into vampires anymore. But I was pleasantly surprised!---Goodnight Kiss 2:We start the book off with this character named Diana, who was pretty cool, but we didn’t get back to her until the end of the book, which really sucked. But the person (or vampire, I should say 😏) who is back is April! The plot twist in the last book was that Gabri did manage to turn April into a vampire! So now vampire April has got her hungry sights set on Billy and his friends. Billy’s girlfriend Joelle was killed by vampires last summer and that messed him SO much he was actually in a mental hospital for a year. But now he’s back to hunt down the vampires who killed her. This story should have been interesting, but it just wasn’t. Billy says he came back to kill the vampires, but he did pretty much nothing to achieve this goal! Plus, we get another bet between two vampires which LITERALLY already happened in the first book. Whoever turns their human boy into a vampire wins. We did this already! The first book in this duology was a lot of fun, so I was really looking forward to this one. Unfortunately, it was not as great as Goodnight Kiss 😞---The Vampire Club:This short story at the end of the book is just under 20 pages, so it was a very quick. We have this kid, Pete, and he is not moving to Shadyside, he is actually moving away! At his new school, he joins this vampire club where they, unsurprisingly, hunt vampires. To join the club, Pete must kill one 😬This was a pretty good read overall. The plot twist was really cool—I enjoyed that! The Fear Street connection: I think Pete lived on Fear Street? He definitely lived in Shadyside previously, though.

book covered in thick layer of dust but excellent read
Great read, very entertaining as usual from R.L Stine. Only giving 4 stars as the book was covered in a thick layer of dust.
