Nice greenery
This seems to be doing very well in my tank with Angel fish. Slow grower but when it does spread I think it will be great.

I'm sure it was beautiful when it was sent but it showed up black ...
Bummer. I'm sure it was beautiful when it was sent but it showed up black with a pretty firm crust where the moss used to be. Useless. Nothing to revive. (Yes, I have well-proven water quality) BabyTears grow vigorously in my tank. Don't waste your $.

it can survive beautifully for about three months when submerged in a tank
So I have 6 of these now. I should have done more research. "Although it is not a true aquatic plant, it can survive beautifully for about three months when submerged in a tank." So, I'm on a timeline for these to die off. Also, I've ordered 6 of them. 3 came in bright green. 3 came in very dark brown. I'm assuming I have 3 live and 3 dead. Picked up the first two on impulse looking for foreground coverage before moving to taller plants. Got the next 4 to fill it out. Then I saw the difference in color, at which point I THEN started research. So. ultimately my fault, but these shouldn't be sold as aquatic plants if they'll only survive 3 months. A tank is not an inexpensive undertaking, do more research before clicking "buy."

Idk but I'm really disappointed.
Ordered 2. Both arrived mostly brown. 3 weeks later they're both still mostly brown with no new growth. I have 4 planted fish tanks in my house. Different tanks with different plants, different lights, ferts, CO2, etc. I don't have a problem growing plants including java moss, christmas moss, riccia, etc that have similar requirements to this star moss. In fact some java moss I got around the same time has nearly doubled, but this stuff is just stagnant. Dk if it's because I live in SoCal, and maybe it was too warm when it was delivered?? Idk but I'm really disappointed.

I have had 50% show up great and the other half clearly had been frozen
I will change my 4 stars to five when I see how it grows. Lol. I have ordered many plants online. It is hit or miss during the Winter. I have had 50% show up great and the other half clearly had been frozen. This little guy showed up perfect. It has gotten greener as the days have gone by. I have it in a jar, for now, in a nice sunny spot.

Great moss.
Shipped early, arrived packaged very well. It was double bagged and sealed, inside another bag and then the shipping box. It was fully green with no brown or dead spots. In fact there was quite a good deal extra tucked under the coconut. I took the mesh off and removed it from the coconut and glued it where I wanted it in my aquarium. With co2 injected and fertilized I expect it to grow fast.

Dead on arrival
I have LED hood light made especially to grow freshwater plants. Everything else in my tank it growing like crazy and needs to be pruned regularly. I'm for sure not a beginner when it comes to aquatic freshwater plants. When the moss arrived I acclimate it in my tank for a few days, even though the moss looked already dead. I thought that, especially with my lighting in the tank, I would give it a try. I gave it more than a few days, the moss did not recover. What was sent to me looked like it had been packed weeks before, and was stored in some dry warehouse, not a tank, for weeks if not months before it was sent to me.
