Transferred a lot of data from an old 1TB external drive which was becoming unreliable. This went without problems though took about 3 hours.As I use this with a small laptop which (as name implies) is often used on my lap while sat in an armchair. It is not just used as backup storage it is used for my music files on iTunes as the capacity of laptops is insufficient.Therefore main problem I have with this is the extremely sharp corners which are easy to scratch hands on or of greater concern damage the upholstery of the chair. Not had this with other hard drive I own.There is a soft bag provided but no mention on box if it is safe to use in the bag without danger of overheating as surely that defeats object of having air vents.There is no address or website of manufacturer to ask about this

I used this 500mb hard drive to act as Timemachine back up on an apple computer, so far no problems. We’ll built and good blue metallic case.

I purchased this to keep all my crafting svgs on, I own 2 differnt brand of vinyl cutters an use this to drag and drop the files I need into the differnt software. It's bright red and that helps me to find it when it's in my craft room. ( crafters are very messy people while they work 🤣) overall very pleased with price and product

Bought 2 x 500GB and 2 x 100GB drives for the sole purpose of creating a system image of my PC's and Laptops. 3 of them worked fine, but one of the 500GB drives would not boot up and show on any device. The 3 that worked now carry the system back up images I need so I am fine with that. Using the Amazon returns policy procedure they recommend contacting the seller first, but looking to contact Storite has turned up nothing, I responded to their web page and got no response, I tried their e-mail on the same web page and it just bounced back, so I will have to go through the Amazon returns procedure for a refund instead. Seems a bit hit and miss buying these drives I am sorry to say.

The device arrived and initially I could not get it to be recognised on any of my normal USB slots. I eventually moved it to the USB slot on the rear which I use for the wifi mouse, and it works there. so it seems to be sensitive. It may be that the rear slot is the USB2.0 slot, and the others may be USB1. I transferred 29GB of photos in about 20 minutes, so it had good data rate.
